Construction Around Imperial Palace

We are staying there next month and I know there is alot of construction going on in the area for the new Linq project and that the front driveway/entrance is going to be or has been closed, just wondering what to expect, has anyone stayed there recently?

If you meander through a few pages here you will see a number of threads re: the linq, Harrah's, IP, etc and the construction. Not being rude with one those "do your research" kinda comments. Just suggesting you may find additional info and get some info faster than waiting for responses to this thread.

My sister is at the IP right now. May 28th. You enter from the rear take the elevator to casino. It lets you off in the back by the massage area, near Betty's Diner. Yes you have to pull your luggage all the way up to the front for check-in. They have not heard any construction noise maybe due to holiday week-end. You can exit the front, go to right, then left on side walk to strip. No problems....

Personally, I wouldn't stay at IP right now. They're doing pretty major construction on the facade and on the former O'Sheas next door, I can't imagine that's quiet at all. The whole front is blocked off with scaffolding and the strip pedestrian traffic is routed though a somewhat narrow tunnel.

The whole IP area is a mess. I walked though there once on May 16th and for the next 4 days we only walked on the west side of the strip it was so annoying.

I echo theFinn. I was there this week and the strip in front of IP is a mess. It is also very loud from the construction on the buildings. I imagine some areas of the hotel aren't bad, but some are probably terrible. The casino itself wasn't too bad once you got past the registration desk. But, with so many other options on The Strip, I wouldn't even consider it right now.

Any Idea of when the construction will be completed?
