1st Timer questions

Been told that we need to take our own tea bags from the UK? Are you allowed to take T Bags and breakfast cereal into the states?

Also trip to Grand Canyon - Will it be hot there in June or will we require additional clothes?

Thanks..

Why would you have to bring your own tea bags? You can get tea all over Vegas.

You won't be getting PG Tips or Tetley's, but most places will serve English breakfast tea. I tend to stick to coffee when I'm overseas though. Outside of Australia or New Zealand most places don't serve tea as we're used to it. In the US I find it's unlikely to be made with boiling hot water and you'll often get a small jug of hot milk! Of course, just make sure you specify cold milk and you'll be fine.

The resort/casino hotels in Vegas don't have in-room tea or coffee making facilities.

I know teas are a touchy subject with people from England so YES, bring your own teas and you can bring pretty much anything that is packaged like your cereals. If you have one of those plug in little water heaters for tea I would bring that too. I bring my starbuck packets of coffee and just heat up the water in that little heater that plugs in and i have fresh (kinda) coffee when I want it in the room without having to go down the hallways, elevator down through the casino 15 mins later to get my cup of coffee.

Just curious...what "breakfast cereals" would you be bringing to Las Vegas?

(At the Grand Canyon in June you will probably require less clothes)

I don't know about Vegas hotels but if you are planning to drink tea in your room, consider investing in a travel kettle for your hot water.

Clark County is known for its teabags. Unfortunately, most of them would land you in jail. lol. (Sorry couldn't resist)

Thx, lol. Some of our more respectable TAers are probably to sophistocated to get that, but thought I'd add some levity.

LLL, it looks like you took quite a sebatical from the forums eh? Glad you are back.
