just wanted to share , already posted ,most likely
Thiking how close the hotels are to each other- only to find out (after you start walking)- uh, no they aren't that close to each other at all! Vegas involves a lot of walking- a whole lot-both in and out of the casinos.
Bringing your "cute shoes/high heels" and thinking they will do fine for all the walking you will do- and then being one of those women who end up limping with blisters/really sore feet (which can ruin a vacation) or- worse yet- walking on the strip in bare feet because they can't stand the pain for one more moment. Bring at least one pair of comfortable shoes. Vegas is a casual town- you won't feel out of place.
vp03 in the house ... Whats up ? vp03 ? 31k post strong & counting ..cool
If your not in shape .. ie, walking as much as possible before Vegas .
beer seems to help limber Me up for those long hauls. along the strip..Edited: 08 June 2012, 16:58
"Thinking how close the hotels are to each other"
That reminds me of walking on the Strip from one mammoth resort to the next one. Ten minutes of walking and you're still in front of the first resort. :)
(Caesars or MGM come to mind)Edited: 08 June 2012, 17:06
Booking a trip to the West Rim and thinking you have really seen the Grand Canyon.
Making to many plans - got there and threw them all out.
Way to much fun just goin' with the flow....
Drinking much more than normal and forgetting to eat...
The biggest mistake I have made in Vegas was to go past my loss limit at the blackjack tables. (Several times!!!!!)
The second biggest mistake was eating dinner at the Parasite Garden Buffet in the Flamingo.
Biggest Vegas mistake: not wearing chapstick with an SPF while kayaking resulting in cracked, sunburnt lips for the next month. Very painful. Something you never forget.
LOL...I'm in the same boat as 4hunters.....on the first night of the first time I was ever there and drinking my dinner was not a good plan!!
A mistake I will not repeat!! :-)
vp03, that is funny. Last time I was there ('86) we were at Circus Circus and the map showed Caesars just a few casinos down.......WRONG.
Took the bus back to the hotel.
Back to Vegas on Monday after 26yrs.
