McCarran Rent-A-Car Center shuttle buses

Hi,

We don't arrive until 11:15pm into Vegas and I was wondering if anyone knew how late the shuttle buses run till to the rent a car center?

Or do they continue to run every 5 min, 24 hrs a day?

Thanks

They are 24 hours a day, and in the wee hours they'll take you right away instead of waiting for a shuttle to fill up. However, you should check the hours of your rental car company. Most of them are open round the clock, but some do close.

When you land at 11:15 you'll be with the thousands of other arriving passengers coming from flights landing around the same time. It's not a quiet time at McCarran.

IrishFan is correct. Many, many people will be arriving at that time (or later) - especially from the East Coast. It is not considered late, at all.

We are meeting another couple who are arriving an hour before us. We are taking the shuttle to the car rental center. We need to know where to tell them to meet us.

Personally I would wait for them at the airport. But if it suits you to meet them at the car rental facility, I would just arrange to meet at the counter of whatever company you're using.

The rental car shuttles leave from the baggage claim areas of Terminals 1 and 3. If your friends know what flight you are on, they could meet you in Baggage Claim at the carousel where your luggage will be coming up, then you can all go together to the rental car center.

Make sure that you are all coming into the same terminal. Otherwise you friends may have to take a shuttle to meet you at your teminal. At the Rental Center there are chairs and a lounge area, if your friends decide to meet you there instead.

If the other couple is getting in an hour before you do, that gives them time to go get the car and drive back to the airport to pick you up. That way, they can be productive during the hour that will otherwise be wasted as they simply hang around the airport waiting for you to arrive.

[The slots at the airport have a low payout, and they can't spend the hour drinking, because someone has to drive the rental car.]

LV really has it down to a science. Right out from the airport to the center lane and they're directing people into the busses. Just a few minutes and you're at the front door of the RAC center. Same on return, drop your car go straight to the escalators back into the terminal then the people are hurrying you back on to the busses back to the airport. I do feel that they're rushing you a bit but you can't complain about how fast they keep everything moving.
