Aria, THE Hotel, or Vdara

My husband will be visiting Las Vegas next week and currently have a suite reserved at THEHotel @ Mandalay Bay. I was sent a really good offer from the casino host. We are having second thought due to some of the reviews we are reading. The hotel seems to be wearing quite a bit ( I would imagine that's why remodel in 2013). And the pool seems VERY crowded . We have stayed in Vegas numerous times and are aware of how far Vdara and Aria are from strip. We are still considering either of these. Does anyone have any opinions of which property they prefer or not? Thanks

Your other two options are closer to the other popular Vegas destinations. The Bay is pretty much down the road by it's self. We haven't been in a room at the Aria or Vadara, but did spend quite a bit of time at Aria the last time we were there. They do seem to have some great promo offers.

We've stayed at Vdara a few times. Its only a block off the strip, but with the tram everything is close. We enjoy the kitchen. We love to eat in Vegas and always end up with leftovers. This way, we get to bring the lefovers back to our room and enjoy them the next day. Rooms are spacious, and we always get a view of the fountains at Bellagio.

Aria by a mile over THE hotel. Vdara i would only recommend if you dont want to stay at a casino property, which some people want a very relaxed environment. My wife and I love Aria but i would probably vote Vdara second. the location of THE hotel just isnt very good. Aria is a 5 minute walk to the strip and the city center tram takes you to MC and Bellagio.

Vdara is more like staying in a condo than a hotel or casino - there's really nothing downstairs, just the reception desk, concierge and a tiny bar and restaurant. But if you don't mind the condo feel to the place, then the rooms are great and the walk to the Strip isn't bad - an indoor walkway connects it to the Bellagio spa tower. Aria feels a little further off the strip to me, as you have to take the tram to Bellagio or walk quite a long way outside, but it's a proper casino hotel with the full range of bars and restaurants you'd expect. And much better pools. I like it, because I like the modern design, so if you like TheHotel I'd guess you'd like it too. And having made it out onto the strip from either, you're right in the middle rather than down one end, so I don't the location of either is worse than TheHotel. I'd pick Aria first, followed by TheHotel, and then Vdara.
