Treasure Island, Bally's or Monte Carlo?

Hi everyone, I won a trip to Vegas. My wife and I will go early March 2013 for our 25 th. I have never been to Vegas. We have 3 nights and have to chose between TI, Bally's, or Monte Carlo. I would be grateful for any input. Thanks Michael in Louisville.

Michael,

Congratulations and welcome to the board.

Do you know if your "prize" includes the resort fee charged by the hotels?

If not, you're looking at extra fees of approx. $20 per day at TI and MC.

I would likely suggest Bally's for no resort fees and location on the strip if you have never been before.

Good luck and have fun!

Out of the 3 I would pick Treasure Island or Monte Carlo. Bally's just seems a little more dated to me. The other 2 are worth the resort fee.

Are you a gambler, Michael? If so, TI does not have the same rewards benefits. If you gamble, I'd pick Monte Carlo and sign up for Mlife. If not, Treasure Island all the way!

I would pick TI, I have never stayed at Ballys though. I have stayed at the MC and TI, in my opinion TI is nicer in almost every way.

I've stayed at all 3 but not lately. I liked MC restaurants & pool the best. Ballys has the better selection of slots (that I like). TI has (had ?) the best poker room setup. So it depends on what features are important to you.

I haven't stayed at the others but I'd recommend TI without hesitation. I think the rooms are nice, and I'd bet a lot more modern than Bally's or MC. You can gamble wherever you want but I like to stay somewhere comfortable.

TI has the nicest casino

MC has the nicest pool

Ballys has the best location

Honestly, I don't find a huge difference in rooms if you are comparing to Ballys north tower, except that Ballys are biggest.

I like TI and generally recommend it. However, I think an important question is: what do you want to do in Vegas. Consider shows, tours, and things to see and do on the strip. I typically go with PH or TI, and generally pick the resort closer to the things I want to do on that trip. Although, I am going to try Mandalay on my next trip, I think.

I've never been to MC, and have walked through Bally's casino. i wasn't a fan of how Bally's is laid out. Also, I wanted to note I think TI has a nice pool deck, the pool is OK, nothing special.
