Walk to In-n-out burger from MGM?

Is it possible? on google maps it shows the in-n-out 1 mile from the MGM on the same street but looks like you pass by highway exit ramps.

Yes it's possible, just head west on Tropicana. Not the most exciting of walks and as you've spotted, take care around the freeway ramps.

We walked from NYNY and back. You won't be alone, lots of others are walking too. Coming back takes you straight in the Excalibur parking lot.

Easy walk.

I did it from MGM last month and not once did i fear for my life. I managed to survive the 15 minutes in the sun, the non existant homeless people that lurk around the freeway and the big, nasty freeway.

Yes, you have to cross the freeway a couple of times but there are 'pedestrian crossings' so i dont see why people make a big fuss about the freeway.

What number is the bus? I was tempted to walk but bus sounds less effort!

The 201 is the bus that runs both east and westbound along Tropicana.

Just to throw it out there

If you choose to take a bus, You could also take the bus east on Trop to the In N Out location on Trop/Maryland it wil take you probably 3 minutes longer than the In N Out on Trop/Dean Martin

I have no idea if this is of interest but when I travel I stop by colleges in the towns Im in and walk around, go to the book store etc

IN N Out sits right in front of the UNLV campus

I never knew highway ramps were like kryptonite to a pedestrian.

As in most cases, you look to see if traffic is coming. If there is traffic coming, don't cross. When there isn't traffic coming, cross.

A simple Google search shows there are quite a number of pedestrian accidents on the Strip, but they are rarely mentioned. It's rare for a ped to get hit along Tropicana or Flamingo, but many posters act as if it's an everyday occurance.

I've read many posts where people said the walk was no big deal.

I took a cab from MGM, it was about $5 and when I was done I waited less than 5minutes for another cab to either drop someone off or drive by looking if there was anyone wanting to be picked up. So its not a problem either way you look at it.
