Staying Downtown

We'll be over for our fourth trip in July and we're thinking about staying downtown. Partly for a change of scenery and partly because it's an awful lot cheaper! We'll be there for 9 nights from July 7th.

I've had a look at the hotel reviews on here and I'm no further forward. Can anyone suggest a hotel that has a good pool (for Mrs Mikey) and would suit a couple of mid forties old farts. We'll be staying in the same hotel and not moving around.

Golden Nugget is the best downtown has to offer.

The D has a basic pool that is open until 11:00 p.m. Their renovated rooms are nice & comfy.

Stay at the Golden Nugget. They have the best pool Downtown, and better then most on the strip!

It's the nicest pool but you'll be packed in like sardines.

Agreed. We are staying in a condo for most of our upcoming trip but picked one day to stay at the Golden Nugget. We love downtown and the pool is the best!

Personally I think 9 nights downtown is 6 nights too long...do reconsider splitting up your visit...I like downtown but more than 3nights gets boring for me.

I would do as Diane suggested. 9 days downtown would be way too much for me. Split your visit.

Cheers folks.

We can get the WAX and be at the MGM in 15 minutes so being downtown isn't a big problem for us.
