Tips on Vegas

I am leaving for Vegas on Oct 9. Girls trip and my sister has never been there and I haven's since '04. Just wanted to know: Are they still serving free drinks while you gamble. Heard the Wynn and Cosmo have the best, is this still true.

Also, do the they still have smaller minimum bets on the tables downtown, when I was there in '04 it was the only place we could fin $5 minimum bets on blackjack.

Any other tips would be greatly appreciated. We are staying at the Tropicana.

Yes they are still serving complimentary drinks while you are gambling nd please tip the CW per drink.Yes Downtown is a good place for lower minimum tables and a different vibe than the glitz and glamour of the Strip

Good Luck

Yes they are still serving free drinks while gambling (the exception is the bar VP at the Wynn). It all depends on what you are drinking and what you consider "best". Wynn and Cosmo have nice drinks

There's a thread here for $5 blackjack

The Hooters Casino ( right behind the Tropicanna ) is a small, friendly casino

that has low limit tables all day and even weeknights. It's not fancy, but drink service while betting Blackjack is great. Downtown is great for smaller casinos and lower min. tables. Take the "Deuce" , double decker bus from the strip to downtown. It's fun, but takes about an hour. you can buy the bus pass right at the bus stops. No drinks allowed on the bus though. A fun thing for a small group ( 6-8 ) is to grab a limo for hire right at the limo/taxi service door of your casino and take a little road trip. per person, less expensive than a cab, and they will drive to a liquor store so you can grab your own to enjoy in the limo. Negotiate the price with the driver, on weeknights if they are just standing around they are happy to take a nice group of ladies. A fun way to spend time all together, see the sights, and not have to be gambling.
