Since many do not write TR's, share something from last trip

There are so many things that I can share, I will start out with the bird in CVS that scared me half to death. I was getting money from the ATM (free for Chase members) and looked over by the door and a huge bird was just staring at me. I kept imagining it snatching my cash and flying away. Of course that did not happen, but those of us in line found it really odd.

You will never see a TR from me.

I will share that we had a great trip, my granddaughter had two holes-in-one on consecutive days, her first. Exciting.

Hi

Had my first (and last) crepe from the buffet at Paris. Horrible, yet I'd read they were so good. Crepe fine but then filled with stuff that I would class as pie filling and topped with artificial cream. Way too sweet, and certainly not what I was expecting.

Last trip we ate at Craftsteak and I had the most amazing meal. We did the family-style Kobe beef meal. I highly recommend.

Next month I am looking forward to trying Gordon Ramsay Steak.

I usually write TR's but didn't for my last trip because it was miserable and I figured I would spare you all LOL!

But one thing I LOVED was the Jasmine Fountain Brunch. I was a little afraid that it might be too stuffy and that I wouldn't feel the price was justified, but it turned out to be incredibly relaxing and I got to try a lot of new foods. The waitstaff were fantastic - even going to the trouble to stop or duck so they didn't ruin people's pictures of the fountains! It was definitely a great experience.

And one thing I was disappointed by - Peppermills. The food was nothing but grease, the staff was constantly absent when we needed anything, and I didn't think the place itself was anything special. It seemed average at best, and I don't think I'll go again. i feel like I must be missing something considering all the fantastic reviews around here, but... for a dive I'll take Ellis Island over Peppermills any day!

I don't typically write trip reviews because our trips are usually pretty short! On our last trip, we had a couple of wonderful meals - one at Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris, and Bachannal Buffet at Caesars. The buffet was on Saturday morning - so it was a champagne brunch. Amazing selection of food and our glasses were never empty!

We also saw the early show at Jubilee - decent show. It was worth seeing just to experience a showgirl review. I would recommend it because it's a classic Las Vegas show.

I had a great time in September but in 9 days I didn't get one royal (I play nothing but VP). I had two of them during my last trip.

Had our first Grimaldi's pizza and loved it. Great service at Delmonico Steakhouse at the Venetian.

Comments about the other posts...agree about the crepes at Paris. Don't see what all the fuss is about. Craftsteak is my husband's favorite restaurant in Vegas. Loved the buffet at Caesars.

I was finishing up my trip, flying out in the morning. Had $100 of my gambling budget left in my pocket and about 250 credits left on the .25 VP machine at Rio. Done for the night, had to get up at 6:00 to fly home.

Suddenly got 7-8 4OAKS in literally 15 minutes. Since it was DDB, some of them were $100 and $200 hits.

Went from 200+ credits to 4,500 credits in 15 minutes. Cashed out with about $1,100 and went to bed. Perfect timing!

I was there last weekend....and had a great time.....a few thoughts....Margaritaville has gone down hill, and in the casino bar, very very small warm drafts of Landshark are $7.....I think that is crazy!!

Olives is not as good as I once thought! Gordon Ramsey was hit and miss...It is a "club" setting (I feel) the Kobe sliders were the worse sliders I have ever had for 2 very small sliders for $17...again crazy, on the other hand...drinks are great...and I think we had the BEST filet, mac and cheese and sticky toffee thing EVER!!.....But, bring your wallet! 6 drinks and one of each (above) was over $200.

On a fun note.....The girls with the 5/6 inch heels walking around and the pain on there face with each step.....priceless!
