Bally's north/south tower question

What is the difference between the towers if any? Is one closer to the casino or strip? One upgrade, one not? Curios to know thanks.

Chacy, how much did you pay for the upgrade? Was it before you arrived or at check in?

The north tower rooms are getting a little dated IMO but are very large, nice bathroom and everything is always very clean and comfortable. We had a view of flamingo, bills, a little bit of CP, and could see Wynn and some of the other casinos (kind of back view) lol. The south tower has a view of Paris, Eiffel tower and partial view of the fountains. The south tower rooms are very dated but clean. When we stayed in the north tower we were staying comped and had booked south tower but were given the north tower. Either one is fine, it just depends on what you are looking for. It was so easy getting to the casino from the north tower, the bank of elevators was right off the casino.

The location can't be beat. The north tower is the "renovated tower," but those renovations had to be 15 years ago. The south tower decor is even older. I have stayed in both towers and have never had an issue with either; the rooms are huge, clean and comfortable. The only time I had an issue with a room there was when I paid for a Grand Suite, which was in the North Tower. That room was really old and beat up and definately not worth the hefty premium I paid. I checked out after one night. The advantage of the south tower is that it is closer to the Strip and unless you are on one of the lowest floors you are pretty much guarenteed a spectacular view.

I have always been given the North tower and will ask for the South tower next time because I would like a view of the strip. Im not concerned that the room is dated because I am seldom in the room. I just want it clean, and the rooms Ive been in at Ballys were always clean. Have fun

Stayed in both and prefer the North because it is closer to the pool and spa, but would not pay extra for the North tower. As others have said, the two towers are comparable.

I was offered North Tower upgrdae last week for $10/night and turned it down. I would have turned it down if it was free. Better views IMO in the South Tower. Rooms are dated, but fasirly large. I have always had clean rooms and good housekeeping.

I have stayed at Bally's at least 8 times and in both twopers. I like the place due to location. Never spend much time in the room anyways.

Thanks for all the advice. Do either tower have flat screen TV's or do both have the tubes?

Yuck. I will never stay in the South Tower. I'm not picky but our room in that tower was unacceptable. Stains on the walls and carpet, blood on the bedspread, hair on the floor.

The South Tower does not have flat screens. Was there in April. My room was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Room was amazingly large. Decor was very dated and the TV was hilarious, perched on a table of some sort but so huge and not flat screen.

Could see the Bellagio fountains, listen to the music at Paris.
