What to pack?? December in Vegas

Hi all,

We are a 25 year old couple coming to Vegas December 28th for 5 nights from Ireland so obviously we are used to cold weather but were just wondering what to expect in Vegas and perhaps what to pack!

Cold nights, probably chilly days, but you never know with the weather.

Just check weather.com a few days before you leave and it will tell you what the temps will be. It could be anywhere between 30 and 70 degrees.

looking like right now around highs of 57 and lows around 37 sunny-but it ALWAYS feels colder especially when the sun starts setting and it sets early. We will be there about the same time and always bring layers maybe a long sleeve early then a jacket or sweater for later in the afternoon. It seems to be nice and toasty in most casinos- LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR and you will too!

I'm in Vegas right now. It's chilly, but fine for December. Bring a warm jacket, pack a sweater.

In terms of clothes, if you are doing the club or high end bar scene, people dress up....

If you are doing 5 star expensive dining, people tend to dress up.....

but if you are doing anything else in general the vibe is casual..

So pack accordingly. Also, I would tend to bring your lighter wear items and a warm coat/jacket/etc. (perhaps not as warm however as you need right now in Ireland). The casinos are generally warm.

Also if your lodging has a heated pool/jacuzzi/etc. bring a swim suit

We just got back on Saturday. We found that the days were pleasant, but we still wore a jacket. Evenings were very chilly. Our jackets had to come off as soon as we went into a casino. They keep them very HOT! It was brutal. There were people walking around in shorts and sandals inside due to the heat inside the casinos. I wish there was some way to find a happy medium.

Nights can be pretty chilly in Vegas, and can seem more so due to Vegas being pretty windy.

Nighttime temperatures heading towards freezing. Daytime temperatures usually warm enough for a light jacket.
