Elara???????

I am thinking of staying at the Elara with 2 friends. The plus is they do not have a resort fee or extra fee for the 3rd person. We would rent the 1 bedroom suite which looks BIG?? Anyone stay here recently? We're OK with there not being a casino on site, looking for a place where we would have room to sit, laugh, and catch up. However, we do not want to stay in a dump!! Looks like @ $245 a nite. All suggestion welcome. Thanks!!

I haven't stayed there but I've seen pictures and video of the rooms and they look really nice. It's one of those places that was planned back per-2008 when they thought they could sell a million condos on the strip but then the economy when in the crapper and they had to turn them into hotel rooms. As such the rooms have lots of amenities, I'm sure you'll like it.

Is the 1 bedroom suite the room with the projector and big movie screen? That one looks sweet...

I stayed in the one bdrm before Hilton took over. It is huge, full kitchen, lovely sitting area. Def room for three. Even a washer/dryer in bathroom. A quik walk through miracle mile shops took us to PH. Also, there are tons of places for dining, and an ABC store in the mall for supplies.

Stayed there about 10 months ago, great size apartment. 1 main bedroom with queen size bed and huge jacuzzi by the side. Another double roll out sofa bed in the living area. Good size kitchen, double walk in shower. Couldn't find a fault with it!

Planet Hollywood Casino accessed through the Miracle Mile Shopes, less than 5 min walk.

Only downside was the pool area, very basic and shaded.

Depending on your date of travel, that seems pretty high priced for a hotel of that caliber...

I will watch to see if prices drop, I can cancel up to 3 days before.

Anyone else think this is too high?? Wish I heard this was too high priced before I booked?? Advice is always welcome.... Blossom have you personally viewed the one bedroom suite?

beachqueen, I haven't. Almost booked it once, but decided to go elsewhere. I had a question, and was really turned off by their customer service.

For a place like that, I'd much prefer the Signature.

What are your dates? Maybe we can offer other suggestions. $227/night might be great if you're booked during Spring Break or the Super Bowl, not so great if it's a Tuesday in the middle of August.

For a 1BR suite, it doesn't sound extraordinary to me.
