Where to get stone crab in vegas

Besides Joes, has anyone had stone crab in vegas?

Have you seen it on any of the higher end buffets?

Bacchanal buffet at Caesars supposedly has them. Or did when they first opened anyway.

Joe's Stone Crab in the Forum Shops at Caesars. The buffets will only have snow and maybe king.

They had them at the Fremont seafood buffet last trip (under $20 on Friday and Tuesday) and they were quite good.

I saw them at many restaurants and buffets last trip, so no need to pay an arm and leg for them.

Quite frankly they are so easy to cook, it's hard to screw them up unless they are just really not 'fresh'

I have had them at the Flame. Excellent (see my review). Use a rest.com coupon and get a fab dinner for a very reasonable price!

Based on my last experience at the Bachannal buffet, the stone crab (and the crab legs) were just awful --- only partially defrosted, filled with ice crystals and tasting of little other than cold salted water.

As it turned out, this was one of the better offerings at that particular buffet!

I've heard (on the Key West Forum) that this has been a poor year for stone crab claws, with many fishermen pulling out their traps already.

Look for small sizes and high prices.
