The WORST View You've Ever Had?

This might be a fun post for a Friday.

We've had some great views in Vegas, including the most popular ones, but haven't had too many truly bad ones. But I've read that they do exist.

The last time we stayed at Gold Coast we had a view of the apartment complex, and their parking lot, right behind the hotel. Although I will admit it was quiet.

But my worst view had to be at the motel rooms at Stardust in the early 80's. Ground floor, a cement walkway leading to the pool. We had to keep the drapes closed to avoid being seen by those walking by----and to help keep the heat from bouncing off the cement and making the room hotter.

So, have you had a memorably bad view in Vegas?

Venetian - 7th floor, looking at a bunch of kitchen vents.

Also had a couple bad ones at Gold Coast, and a recent stay at Rio where I had a "roof view".

Geocip: Great example! I would have stayed in that room about 10 seconds. Not because of the view, but because of the noise.

Bellagio over-looking the highway!, we went to the lobby, paid $50 per night to have a lake-view room, we were moved immediately. I feel if it's an upscale property, you should have an upscale view.

Woke up next to an odd looking woman once that I didn't remember meeting.

That probably qualifies as my worst view.

Had the classic brick wall view at The Golden Nugget. The window faced a brick wall that faced my window, about 5 feet away.

In the Venetian I've had views of the employees parking garage ... but it wasn't so bad.

NYNY. We were really high up but must have been in a corner room of one of the buildings on the skyline so when we looked out of the window all we could see was the next building blocking our view.

It made the room so dark too! So we got on the blower and tried to see if we could change rooms which we did so no complaints!

Truman, I was going to post the exact same thing. Those rooms at the GN are almost frightening when you opened the drapes.
