I've stayed there many times and am booked into a Forum Tower next week. The rooms are very nice, and the staff have always been very friendly and helpful. Not sure what you're reading but if you book at the minimum the Forum Tower it should be more than fine.

I dig the TV embedded within the Forum Tower bathroom mirrors the most!

I stayed last year for 6 nights and had no issues. Hotel room and casino spotlessly clean, any staff I came into contact with were friendly and helpful. I guess they can't please everyone all of the time though and sometimes bad reviews are given for a tiny thing that went wrong or wasn't up to their expectations. Tripadvisor reviews could put you off going to any hotel as some people will have something bad to say. I guess its just what you make it though, I left them a good review of my stay!

You get a TV in the Octavious tower bathrooms! Double sinked. Jacuzzi tub. Glass walk in shower. Fridge is sensored: touch it and pay! Same for the snacks, coffee and sundries in the room....all sensored! Don't touch! Big rooms. New and clean. Dedicated check-in at the Flamingo side entrance. Use it. No lines! Good poolside views. Good pool access. Can be a long walk back and forth from casino after a few days......that's the only neg!

I just stayed in the Augustus tower 3 weeks ago, and it was wonderful. The room was beautiful. The Octavius tower is one step up from Augustus.

Caesars was built mid-1960s and grew over the years. Some of the rooms were historically unmodernised, whilst others were amongst the best in town. If you were in an older room and paying a full price, you would feel short changed.

As of NOW, all rooms are modernised at Caesars, and although Caesars' (Group) capex cycles are longer than say Wynn, Caesars is their flagship and is in good nick. It is not YSL at breakfast that you may see at Wynn/Palazzo, nor is it the full on party crowd, it is a mixed, fun loving bunch, who are prepared to buy into the retro-Vegas vive and have fun.

I was in Octavius last month. It is as good as any equivalent high end 5* hotel on the strip, with the possible exception of a Cosmo balcony suite, (which has a higher ADR, and impossible for any strip resort to compete with, unless they retro-fit!) and by that, I mean that it is top class and meets the highest standard inside and outside Vegas. Other resorts have quirks or features that an experienced visitor may prefer (and that is personal choice) and Caesars certainly is a perennial favourite amongst some.

You have nothing to worry about.

The Octavius Tower is really nice!! We had a view of the fountains, and at night would turn off the lights in the room mix a drink pull the chairs over to the floor to ceiling window and just enjoy. I make many solo trips to Vegas, but this was a trip with my husband. While sitting there relaxing and enjoying the view he turned to me and said "NOW I know why you like coming here so much"

i think there may be a shortcut to the tower through Appian Way, trust me at the end of a long day you'll want to use it, lol.
