VEGAS: Bellagio, Venetian, or Caesars?

Hi All,

I am travelling to Vegas for 5 nights in July this year with my wife, and needed some advice on where to stay. Being from Australia, we hear amazing things about these 3 hotels, but I was curious to get some advice on which would be the best.

From what I know, this is the impression I'm getting:

> Bellagio - for older, 'quieter' people, but very prestigious

> Venetian - a lot of cafes and restaurants (not sure about the 'culture' of this place), and a lot of things to do during the day while it's scorching hot outside

> Caesars - party town with great pools

We're very conflicted on where to stay, so some help would be greatly appreciated. We're budgeting around $150-$200/per night. As this is our first time to Vegas we'd like to experience staying on the strip. We'd love to get some feedback on the positives and negatives from people who have stayed at these hotels, and whether you would go back or stay elsewhere. I've heard that some of the rooms in these hotels appear 'aged' while others' foyers are way too busy. It'd also be really good to know whether my perceptions on these hotels are correct.

Thanks in advance.

Personally I'm not a great lover of the Bellagio as it simply gets too many visitors looking at the conservatory making the public areas very busy. Caesars can sometimes be difficult to navigate depending on your room location.

I'd go with Venetian as the standard room there is better than the other 2 with the bonus of a good selection of dining options at all price levels as well as the added benefit of the Palazzo next door.

I'd go with Caesars in the Augustus/Octavius towers or atleast the Palace tower ...I have no first hand experience of Nobu. Great rooms, fabulous pools, outstanding spa, old school casino vibe, lots of eating and drinking options, and an attached shopping mall.

My second choice is the Venetian, only because it is slightly off centre strip ...do not underestimate the distances in Vegas, esp in the July heat. The standard room here is huge and very well appointed.

I am not a fan of the Bellagio, although I do like their casino and several restaurants/bars.

I have stayed at the Venetian and I wasn’t very impressed with it, rooms were big, comfortable but felt very generic, plus long trip to room, two lifts and a lengthy walk. Communal areas are amazing and well worth visiting but wouldn’t stay there again.

I haven’t stayed at either of the other two, Tom is correct about the public areas in Bellagio, they do get crazy busy with a lot of people standing in walkways taking photos etc, making it feel very rushed when walking past.

I agree with Caesars, then Venetian, then Bellagio.

Caesars pool area is lovely, the forum shops are equal to the Venetian shops, Bacchanal buffet is the quintessential Las Vegas buffet. More strip-central. Plus it is one of the 'old timers' with a good face lift.

Venetian and Bellagio are definitely good for walk throughs, though. Along with every one else on the strip.

The Bellagio buffet was not worth the money.

1 Bellagio

2 Venetian

3 Caesars

The Bellagio does get busy in the public areas, but if you're staying there you can visit the chocolate fountain, the conservatory or the view the lobby ceiling during an early morning when its quiet and take loads of photos. I was there 3 weeks ago, i love the Bellagio, fantastic week. Just hope you budget is big enough. I didn't like Caesars its just too bloody big! I also prefer the location of the Bellagio and CP over the Venetian, much prefer the centre strip.

From the posts on here already it just shows you that its really all personal preference. I've stayed at all three and they're really all great hotels but here's how I'd rank them:

1. Bellagio

2. Venetian

3. Caesars

I already have the Bellagio booked for my next trip. I much prefer their casino over the other two. Also, the location is the best of the three (although Caesars is right next door).
