First time to LV (end of June) ...must have a pool!!!!

So, I am trying to plan a 4 night getaway while my hubby is on leave. I am finding the choices overwhelming, to say the least. Any feedback would be most helpful!

Here's my situation...we are in our 40's and enjoy a lively scene and adult beverages - would like to have the option to soak up the sun early , while we decide what to do during the rest of our day. Love to people watch & we enjoy good music, but drunken 20 somethings that think they are some sort of a Kardashian morph is not our scene.

I'm looking for a spot in a central location - on the strip, where we could walk around during the day and take in the sights and frights & then venture out at night to explore the casino's and dining in the evening.

I'm getting the impression that weekday hotel rates are more reasonable, which could afford us the luxury of staying in one of the larger hotels.

Any thoughts? All advice would be much appreciated! Need to make my soldiers R&R special:)

The problem is that drunken 20 somethings wannabe Kardashians also like a lively scene, adult beverages, good music and a central location.

The Venetian/Palazzo are very nice and might be what you want. Vegas is a big place and I often spend very little time in our own hotel. Cosmo is very nice but maybe too many K-dash wannabes for you.

Generally Sun-Thurs is much cheaper, so if you have flexibility your hotel $$$ will go farther.

'40's, lively, pool, booze, I'm thinking Aria, Cosmo (skews a bit younger but very nice), Bellagio (skews a bit calmer, but it's a gorgeous property).

Enjoy! If you are a bit more specific about budget and dates, folks can be more specific with recommendations.

Mirage has a great pool, plenty of bars/lounges, decent dining, above average shows, laid back ambience, very central location, won't break the bank.

I think Aria might be a good choice for you. They have nice modern rooms, and a good location for walking around and sight seeing. They have a couple of pools with different atmospheres, so you can choose the one that suits your mood.

By all means if possible go Sun-Thurs or Mon-Fri.

37 years old here. I was looking for the same type of thing. We are staying at the ARIA from June 27th-30th. Going with a group of 8. Aria has 3 different pools and one is a party type pool (Liquid), but we'll probably hang out at the other pools and create our own fun!

Mirage, Aria and Venetian should all meet your expectations plus all are Mid strip close to the action.

Caesars or Flamingo would be my choice.

For best rates Sun - Thurs for sure. Search the internet for hotel promo codes, too.

Most of the hotels mentioned have great pools. Definitely check out the Traveler pics on this site for each hotel - always helps give a better view than the professional pics.

IMO best hotels (taking into account location, age, pools, restaurants, etc.), in no necessary order: Caesars, Cosmopolitan, Palazzo/Venetian, Bellagio

We're staying at Mirage for the first time in about 2 weeks - we got a great rate for 2 nights and $75 F&B credit.
