Paris Pool

Good Morning,

3 couples in their late 40's/early 50s seeking nice hotel with "quiet" pool (i.e. music, but not blaring rap/pop...maybe some Allman Brothers or Elton John ;)

1. Does the Paris have "pool parties" like some of the other casinos seem to have now? I am not interested in a property that caters to my children...looking to relax and read by the pool.

2. Travelling in August: is it difficult to get chairs at the pool and more specifically, how difficult is it to get a chair in the shade?

Thanks very much in advance.

As far as I know Paris does not have teeny bopper pool parties.

No pool parties. The Paris pool is laid back. I have never had an issue with getting a lounger there. It's not as crowded as the other pools. Some people hate the pool due to the fact that its all pool deck and pool. Very little tropical theming. I happen to think its a great pool due to the fact that its not a party pool and seems less crowded then the other pools.

Also know that People Staying at Ballys can use the pool also and considering ballys pool is crap you will have extra people using the Paris pool during prime summer months.

A few older pictures of the Paris Pool.

Paris caters to the mature crowd in music, atmosphere and overall ambiance. Loungers are plentiful and more important, the pool deck is very large (takes up the entire area of the casino beneath it) and thus it is easy to find a lounging area that is not crowded. Cabanas are very nice too, with some in the nature of a small air conditioned room with Frig, TV etc. Definitely not a party pool and sounds like it would fit you to a tee. Only complaint I have had is that summer sun does not hit the pool deck until after 10:00 AM and it is really hot by that time. Shade from the nearby tower is the problem, and that cannot be avoided. Water is not heated and can be a little brisk when you first go in to cool down.

I found the pool to be very bland and boring. I'm not into party pools. The Paris pool is the least exciting pool out of every resort I have been too.

Obviously you have not been to Harrahs, Quad, NYNY, Ballys or the Signature.

I agree, I just want peace and quiet (and shade since I'm not a tanner). We'll be at Paris over Memorial Weekend - will post a trip report after.

We've stayed at Paris the last 5 (or so) times we've been in Vegas. My husband and I really enjoy the Paris pool. We're not really into the pool party vibe either. For us, it's a very nice pool. We've never had a problem finding a lounger, it's clean and it's a relaxing environment. Last year we went with friends and rented one of the villas for the day, which we'll be doing again this summer. I would highly recommend that if you want to spend a whole day in the pool area.
