Taxi to mandalay bay

Given its close proximity to the airport, it is still possible to be 'tunnelled'?

And if I tell the taxi driver to take tropicana avenue that should be straightforward enough right?

Many thanks

It is always possible to be tunneled. Before I knew better, my first trip to Vegas was to the Luxor. We were tunneled.

Just say "no tunnel" to keep it from happening.

Yep, I got tunneled to MB, it was close to $25. Live and learn...

I would specify you want to take Tropicana. If you say "no tunnel" there are still a number of long hauling options open to an unscrupulous driver.

If you want to be really specific, Tropicana to Koval to Reno is probably the quickest and cheapest way as it avoids a potential long wait to make a left onto the Strip.

That Nancy Reagan "Just Say No" campaign don't cut it, as noted.

Assuming you have a non-American accent, cabbie will figure you won't know any better. Good for you for not caring if you get ripped off.

Not sure why you posted since you feel that getting tunnelled is all part of the experience.

Well if I specify the route to take and I still get tunnelled there's not much I can do about it.

Sure not tip/report the driver but it still won't stop the event from happening.

Iv read many reports on here where people specify the route and still get tunnelled, so while I'm doing what I can for it not to happen to me there is still the chance that it can occur anyway.

Au contraire, mon frere: The one time it happened to us, we got out, took our bags, and then I handed the driver the correct amount, sans tunneling, and said "I don't pay for the long haul".

He just took it, turned and drive off into the Vegas night.
