Hello I am a local, and I work somewhat on the strip. I am originally from California and been in Vegas 8 years now. Cali is great and it is a beautiful place to live and raise children. We moved to Vegas because the cost of living over here is much more inexpensive than California. Now I have my own family and I have made Vegas my home, I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. A lot of people assume that Vegas is a horrible place to live in when really it is not. I obviously don't live on the strip. What you see on the strip is not what you will see off the strip. Before I started working on the strip I would hardly ever go on it. While I was getting off work I drove by the Caesars Palace and I saw a Male who was just hammered pissing by the elevator now I was offended. Why? Because this is MY home and people disrespect it all the time. We have cross walks that have signals so you'll know when to NOT cross. I don't know why people are so rude and think they can just do whatever they want. We like any other city have laws and pedestrians don't always have the right of the way here, if the light is red and you cannot cross it actually means DO NOT CROSS! Have your fun, drink like there's no tomorrow but please people don't come here to do whatever you want have a little sanity and respect Vegas. It is not like back where you are from.
