Bellagio vs. Palazzo Std Room

I currently have a room booked for my October trip at the Palazzo. My Palazzo offer included invited guest check-in, late check-out and a free gondola ride. I stayed at the Palazzo during my last trip solo and loved it (the room, the gym, restaurant options between Palazzo and Venetian). Then today, I receive an email offer from Bellagio that would be about $100 cheaper overall and includes a $100 dining credit. I've never stayed at the Bellagio in all my trips. I'm familar with the casino and the restaurants but how is the standard room? And how is the gym?

I stayed at the Bellagio two yrs ago and was disappointed with the standard room. We had some issues that were never fixed during our stay and were reimbursed at. Checkout. This year we are staying at the Venetian because rooms are all suites . Check around for the all suites hotels

Bellagio is my favorite hotel in town. Center strip, new rooms, excellent restaurants and casino. I'd switch especially if it is cheaper.

My vote is Palazzo. I have stayed at both of these properties, as well as most of the other strip hotels (and Rio and Palms). The standard Bellagio room is small compared to the Palazzo rooms. IMO, Palazzo better: room, variety of dining options, gym/spa, shopping (FSM), pools, gambling atmosphere. Bellagio better: mid-strip location. Now, we almost always stay at the Palazzo.

I really like the Bellagio property and my next trip is booked there, although I haven't stayed there in years. Since the rooms have been redone and modernized I'm anxious to give it another try. But I know it's not going to beat Palazzo's rooms just by virtue of size and configuration.

If the room is near the top of the list for you, I'd probably stay with Palazzo.

In the past I'd have passed up the great deal I got at Bellagio for free nights, free play and a dining credit to stay at Palazzo, but my last visit to V/P left me very disappointed in the casino offerings at both Venetian and Palazzo, and the tipping point is when they closed my favorite late afternoon hangout--Dos Caminos. So Bellagio won out.

I've stayed several times at Palazzo and love it, I tried Ballagio for the same reasons you are considering it and I was very disappointed, the room was very worn out. Perhaps my expectations were too high for Ballagio or perhaps I was too spoiled having stayed at Palazzo and Venetian the previous visits.

Bellagio is not even close to Palazzo. I have stayed at both and I would not consider switching from Palazzo to Bellagio. I am certain you would be disappointed

Thanks all. I'm definitely worried that I'm going to compare anywhere else I stay in Vegas to the Palazzo so I think I'll just keep my existing reservation.
