wedding

my daughter is getting married in Vegas next october. the wedding service is at Ceasars palace and there will be about 60 guests who will mostly be staying at the Mirage. she is trying to keep the price down. a meal is not included in the wedding package but she has been quoted $150 pp for a sit down meal. my suggestion is to book a restuarant ourselves. how hard would it be to book a restuarant for about 60 people? and where would you suggest? would like to keep costs down to maybe about $50pp. should we do buffet? or a set menu? any suggestions and help would be great.

I just recommended Pamplemousse (on Sahara) yesterday to another person looking for reception venue. I know they can accommodate 60 people. I don't know if you can do it for $50 a head, but you could ask. I know Maggiano's would be less than that and they can also accommodate your number.

Try this link to start some research for what you want.

My main suggestion is go out of the hotels and off strip if you want the most for your money.

theknot.com Las Vegas Message boards should be able to help you with this.

I think Mspenn's suggestion is a good one. You are probably better off asking about this on a Wedding Forum rather than a Las Vegas Forum.

While you can more than likely find something cheaper than Caesars, I'm not too sure you can get a private dining room for 60 with dedicated servers and staff for $50 per person. That could be a little unrealistic.

I know it's not popular here but Trevi gets recommended a lot on The Knot and it would be convenient as it is in the Forum Shops so if you like Italian you might want to check it out.
