Good Chinese restaurant in Las Vegas chinatown

Hi, we are looking for a family style good Chinese ( or Asian, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai)

restaurant in LV chinatown, can someone give me some suggestions. We do not need any

place fancy, just good, decent food is ok . HOw is the parking situation in LV Chinatwon. Since

it is not walking distance from Vdara, we probably need to drive.

I really appreciate any input

Although it is not in Chinatown the Lotus of Siam is rated by some as the best Thai restaurant in North America. It is located on East Sahara in a non descript strip mall. It is not expensive and is superb. Check out yelp reviews or ask the forum, I suspect most who have actually dined at it will give you a positive recommendation. Parking won't be a problem here.

If you're from San Francisco, you won't bat an eye at the Chinatown section of Las Vegas. You might drive right past it and not even know you've been through!

My opinion, best authentic Chinese food is at Ping Pang Pong in Gold Coast casino.

Chinatown in Vegas a waste of time. Lotus of Siam well worth the trip. Kind of hard to find, open 11am to 2, then reopens at 4pm. Ping Pang Pong also very good.

We have always jumped a taxi to Sam Woo's china town and enjoyed.

Ping Pang Pong serves traditional Dim Sum lunch weekdays until either 2 or 3pm. Dinner is served from 5pm to 3am. Even though it is in a hotel/casino it is not fancy, and most of their customers are people who live in Las Vegas and predominantly Asian. I have no doubt that they do the largest take out business of any LV hotel restaurant.

Ping Pang Pong for hotel based Chinese restaurant. I definitely recommend Sam Woo in Vegas' Chinatown itself. I grew up practically on the Sam Woo chain of restaurants in Southern California, and their food is always good. I've been to the Vegas one 3x so far, and each visit was a wonderful time.

The Chinatown in LV is nothing like San Francisco's though.

If you are headed downtown, there's great food in a simple setting at Le Thai.
