Avoid the timeshare presentation by WorldMark/Wyndham

If you want to keep on having a good time in Las Vegas, by all means avoid the WorldMark/Wyndham, not all the gimmicks in the world are worth such a horrible experience. Sure we wanted to get a free gift, but the 45 minutes presentation turned into a 5 hour of guilt tripping, name calling, pushy and unpleasant meeting with a three different representatives. The nice girl that was in charge in explaining to us what the deal was about was only doing her job, we understand and we were so nice and politely talked to her, we had some questions and since she didn't know the answer she called Charles, the director, what a jerk! his demeanor was something like "What do you mean by that, it's an investment, duh!" (you are lucky to be selected to be our future source of income!). This poor saleslady had to apologized so many times. When it was clear this deal was way beyond our budget, the presenter of the 30 minute talk was called to give us an even "sweater" deal, it was still out of our reach, the guy made remarks such as "who wears the pants in this relationship?" and things like that, in a desperate (and bad taste) way to make a sale. It was really uncomfortable, unpleasant, the saleslady was so nice, but so uncomfortable by these two guys, a total disaster. Avoid this at all cost.

I avoid all time share presentations! Not a way I want to spend time on my vacation. Thanks for confirming that my decision is a good one.

I've never bothered to make it to the presentation. When you enter the casino these idiots suffocate you and I just get away from them as quickly as possible. That's vegas for you

Are you kidding me?

Why would you have ever subjected yourselves to such nonsense for 5 hours?

Get up and walk out the door after the first unacceptable comment is made!

Or better yet, don't do it in the first place.

I can't imagine what "gift" is that fantastic that anyone would waste 5 hours of their time and let themselves be berated.

This is SO disappointing to hear! I was really looking forward to one of these on my next trip. I LOVE free stuff, and this seemed like a fool-proof way to get some really great free stuff.

Whatever you do, PLEASE do not tell me that the girls on those cards they hand out on the strip are not real!

Its getting to the point that I loathe entering some of the lower-scale CET properties where these time-share people hang out.

If you’ve never done any type of presentation or timeshare before then I understand and feel your pain. I too did one years ago through a bass pro promotion. I honestly had no idea what was in store for me. My 90 minute presentation turned into about 3 hours so not as bad as yours. I felt like I had an invisible gun to my head – that’s how much pressure I felt to buy! Of course, lots of people will say “just leave” “just say no” but for me it wasn’t that easy. And believe me, I did say no, quite a few times. I finally said no and stuck to it and the salespeople never got rude, but I could tell from the look on their faces that I had wasted their time. Oh well, I went with an open mind and did almost buy. Thank goodness I didn’t. Either way, two positives happened from my experience – 1) now that I’ve been through this process, I can spot the same thing a mile away and nicely decline any offers (free stuff isn’t worth my time). 2) My husband and I fell in love with the location – Big Cedar near Branson MO. We now try to go once a year. So yes, positives things came from my dreadful timeshare experience. I hope it does for you too.

Never have And never will do one! I do have to ask why did you stay so long? Why not just walk out?

Reminds me of the movie/documentary The Queen of Versailles about the westgate timeshare ceo. The speech rally they give before they open the doors for their sales reps is scary. "Go out and save lives, making a sale is saving a family, do not let them leave without buying something YEH!!!"
