Las Vegas Transportation

Hello. 3 of us travelling; 1st night at Golden Nugget to experience Fremont St. and next 3 at Paris. Last time I was there, cab to hotel cost a fortune but cab back was cheap! I guess it depends on driver. The second one took a back way from Bally's and I swear we were there in 3 minutes! What is our best bet to Golden Nugget on a Saturday around 9PM and then back to Paris the next day? Cab or bus? Any info is appreciated. I have read to ask the cabbies to avoid the 'tunnel', is this still correct? Thanks.

When I go Downtown at night I ask the driver to take the freeway. The price difference is minimal, and it is faster.

But I am always going from a Strip hotel, not the airport.

The taxi to downtown and GN will be about $45-50. Shuttle for 3 will be $33.

The Westcliff Express Bus (WAX, rtcsnv.com). $2 each. From Terminal One Level Zero Bay 23, video on rtcsnv. About 1 per hour, stops. 2 or 3 blocks from 4th st. stop to GN.

Buses 108 and 109 (Northbound) go to Bonneville Transit center are more often and that would put you 5 small downtown blocks from GN. See Google maps, shows blue bus stop symbols. .

The SDX bus to Paris is across the street from GN next to Binions.

Take the shuttle, sit back, relax, watch the scenery and you'll soon be there without the hassle of a possibly irreverant cab driver. have fun

You ever consider renting a car at the airport. Small to mid size car around $16 per day. That's less than one roundrip taxi ride. We rent a car and drive up and down vegas all day long. We might take a cab once if we are headed out at night bar hopping and we do not want to drive if we will be drinking. Just a thought to consider, since rental cars are so cheap.
