Airport Security

How do you travel to vegas with a large amount of cash? Do you have to put a wallet through X-ray or can you carry it through?

Ive always had to empty my pockets going into a airport but never on landing so it would depend on the airport your departing from.

Put an elastic band around your wallet and put it in your carry-on. If that needs a hand search after x-ray, stand in front of them and watch.

In US airports you need to empty your pockets when being screened. I put the cash in my purse or carry on and just keep an eye on it while it goes through X-ray. You should be fine, we do this all the time without issue.

My problem is that I have an articial knee. I always have to get a hand pat down besides twice through the portal monitor. This always takes a minimum of 8-10 minutes. My last trip I lost my watch.

Acey,

If your traveling alone, explain to TSA that you are concerned about your belongings being left unattended due to the length of time your pat down will take.

Every time I travel with my daughter alone, we go through the same thing.

She has a Cochlear Implant and I wait with her while the pat down is taking place, I always have an agent wait with my belongings while we are detained. Never an issue...

If going thru the body scanner you can hold your $ in hand.they may want to fan thru it?

just make sure you wait until.or ask if its ok to put it back into your pocket before doing so or they will want to see it again.

I guess the same thing if getting the hands on pat down.
