Cosmopolitan or?? 50 something.......

DH and I are in early 50's and looking for vibrant hotel but not a big party scene, especially in the pool area. We like to go out and have a good time but also need some relaxing down time. I don't consider standing in line to use the pool relaxing! Cosmopolitan has such a great offer right now but seems to cater to a younger crowd. Really would like to stay there! Have stayed at MGM and downtown but didn't care for their locations. Would Cosmopolitan work for us? Or any other recommendations?

Cosmo is ground zero for the party scene these days. It is definitely a younger, party hearty type of crowd. You would probably be happier at Ceasars, Wynn/Encore or Bellagio.

If you want the location of Cosmo with a slightly more laid back vibe, consider Aria.

I don't think the young crowd at Cosmo should scare you off. There is a pool at Cosmo that is sort of the quiet retreat type--the Bamboo Pool.

Way too old for Cosmo. I would recommmend Wynn, Encore or Bellagio. Unless of course, you still like to get jiggy with it.

We stayed at Cosmo (myself 57 DH 62) in a Terrace suite a couple of years back and loved it. We opted at check in not to over look the pool. We didn't feel out of place in the casino/hotel-we didn't do any clubs. Last year and this Aug we will be back at the Aria-love the location-very central strip-great casino and rooms.

I am mid-30s and loved Aria. I think it would be a happy medium--close to Cosmo but still the scene you are looking for. If you click on my profile I wrote a pretty long review.

If you really want to stay at Cosmo, though, go for it. It is on my Vegas bucket list--one day I will probably try it for a couple nights during the week and then move somewhere quieter for the weekend.

If you enjoy douchebags then Cosmo will be your place, it's douchebag central. Fair warning!

We are 50's okay 50...lol, anyway we love the Aria, when we are without our teens, the pool is oohh sooo very laid back

BigBoy! You obviously must be one of those douchebags that stays at Cosmo to make such a lame azz comment like that! I beg your pardon! I'm 50 and I'll never feel too old to stay anyplace on the strip, but I will say there are a ton of spoiled brats at Cosmo!
