Shuttle from Circus Circus

Hi, just doing some research ready for a trip to Las Vegas next year and wondered if there is a shuttle from Circus Circus to the strip, very new to this, our first visit to USA , so apologies if this is a stupid question, we would appreciate any hints and tips from all you seasoned Las Vegas travellers.

Thanks a lot

Circus Circus is ON the Strip. No need for a shuttle. Whether you really want to book there or not is another question. Overall, it's not a highly regarded property by most.

Okay, as I said we are not at all familiar with Las Vegas and have just started trolling through many different websites, what do you think to Luxor, is that a better place?

They do have a shuttle to the airport, but it is a clown car. Despite that, you would be amazed at how many people they can fit into that thing.

But seriously......

The Luxor is MUCH better than Circus Circus. Have stayed at the Luxor several times and love it there. If you have any specific questions about it, just ask.

Yes. But tell us a bit about your trip and it might be easier to point you in the direction of a decent hotel. Luxor is definitley better than Circus Circsu, but still on the lower end of budget properties, and some don't like the location on the South end of the Strip, preferring to be more central.

So...who is coming (kids? couples? solo trip?) and for how long, and when? And what's the budget for the hotel?

Thankyou so much, we were all set to book at the Excalibur then I read some reviews on this site which put me right off, I am sure you will be hearing lots from me and once again , thankyou.

To expand on IrishFan's comment - Circus Circus is at the *far* north end of the strip more or less in a "no-mans land" of construction sites, abandoned projects and time shares. There's nothing wrong with the rooms but the rest of the place hasn't seen a renovation in decades and it's location makes puts it at the bottom of the heap in terms of desirability. The only other casino nearby is the slowly deteriorating Riviera across the street.

If the Genting Resorts World project just to the south and the renovation of the Sahara re-do to the north are completed perhaps MGM will put some money into it. For now, look further south, especially for a first trip.

You can get an idea of where it is on Google maps - zoom in and "walk" around: http://goo.gl/maps/Mw7Rz

Edit: Luxor is fine as is Excalibur. Excalibur has the more recently updated rooms. Both are *much* better than Circus Circus.

OK, definately low budget, this is part of a world trip crossing off lots of things on our bucket list!, We are both 73yrs old, don't mind a steady walk, but not real good on hills etc, we definately need a hotel with a lift, we will be staying in Las Vegas for 7 nights, not super mad on the gambling, just love the odd flutter, but we are really looking forward to seeing all the sights, from Las Vegas we want to fly to Miami Fl so if you can recommend a good airline for that it would be really appreciate,

We have travelled a fair bit but only as far as Hawaii in your direction, but our policy is a hotel is just somewhere to sleep and shower, as long as it is clean that is the main thing., so we are not looking for something super duper luxurious.
