Overnight in Las Vegas - dont want to drive in on Saturday

Hi We are driving from Furnace Creek on Sat 28 Sept in a 15 seater ( 7 passengers ) for an overnight stay and don't want to drive into the city . Thinking about driving to the airport and getting transport in and back on Sunday to drive to Zion ( Springdale) on Sun evening. But maybe there are more convenient parking spots where we can get reasonable transport in. We also need 3 rooms in a central location for max £100 per room - Any suggestions v welcome

Im not sure what your hesitation is. When you say city I assume you mean The Strip? Which is one street its not the city. Its very easy to drive to and park anywhere on the Strip, much easier than driving to the airport (which is in the city) and then getting transport from there

Can Strip properties handle the height of a large van, I wonder? 15 -seater might top out at 8 feet. Rio, for one option, has open-air parking. Not sure which Strip properties do.

There are off-strip hotels which have parking lots in addition to garages. Orleans might work for you. It will be within your budget, probably around $100 on Sat but less on Sunday. They have a free shuttle to the Strip, and excellent dining options on site.

I cant speak for all garges but I have seen the 15 passengers in a lot of them. I also think most hotels have oversizes options.

The 15 passengers Ive seen are not taller than a suburban or Tahoe, which also fit in most if not all garages.

my husband has been advised by someone who has driven at weekends and advised him to avoid at weekends - we are now considering going to Zion & Bryce first and coming back to LV( 9 on either Sun or Mon - I know it's extra driving esp since we are going to Page next ( then on to South Rim& Sedona and flying out of Phoenix. we would also get a good hotel a lot cheaper. Is this reasonable?

Bally's, Excalibur, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, Tropicana, Caesars Palace (valet), Bellagio (over sized lot) I'm sure this is not a complete list.

Is it reasonable to expect that you'll get a room cheaper on Sun and Mon than on a Sat? YES. Is it reasonable to backtrack across 3 states to avoid driving at most 1 mile on a 8 lane street with a max speed of 40 kph??? NO, NO, NO, NO.

Yeah I have to agree with you - time is more precious than estimated $50 each extra! but hubbie needed more than my view. What is valet parking? Thanks

Valet is where you drop the car with an attendant who parks it for you. When you're ready to leave, you give them your ticket and they retrieve the car for you. Saves the aggravation of looking for a parking spot and hiking through parking lots/garages. You tip $3-5 when you retrieve the vehicle, other than that it is free.

I almost always arrive on a Saturday as the flights are cheaper. Traffic on the Strip at night is very congested, but not impossible.
