Off strip hotel/casino

I was wondering if anyone can advise me on a place to stay off the strip in October (19th-21st) We will be myself, my dad (75 but very fit and healthy) my brother who lives in CA but hasn't been to Vegas (and isn't really into crowds and shops etc) and my 13 year old daughter who is very into shops and activities LOL

OK I know its a big ask!! We want to go out to Red Rock and dad is keen to visit the Shelby museum. Dad loves hiking and fishing as does brother- Miss 13 not so much.

We will have a car.

Budget is prob $100-$150 per night per room (we'd get 2 prob) or stay in a suite or apartment ?

Try Gold Coast or Orleans.both would work but Orleans has movies and better pool.

You dont say if you have been before?

On that budget you could easily stay on the strip. You could also probably stay at RR itself. Orleans, Gold Coast, Tuscanny, whole of downtown-the world is your oyster so to speak.

Orleans has a bowling alley and movie theater which could be a fit with the 13yr old. Also, Orleans has a free shuttle to the mid-strip area and back running during the day which could be nice to take advantage of, along with many, great, affordable dining options in comparison to the strip.

Orleans is the better choice over Gold Coast. The pool is MUCH nicer, as is the arcade.

Another option is the Suncoast hotel & casino. Great room rates, movie theaters, bowling, arcade, pool. Great shopping nearby!

Red Rock, The M and Green Valley Ranch are great choices if they fit in your budget, much nicer than Orleans or Gold Coast or any other off strip property.

If you would like a property without a casino for more quiet then consider the Renaissance or a timeshare like the Hilton Grand Vacation Club or Wyndham Desert. It's in your price range and there will be less human traffic than the casino properties.

We've stayed at the Grandview before and loved it. It is a couple miles off the strip, but they have a shuttle if you want to use it. Southpoint Casino is directly across the street and is an easy walk. They have movies, restaurants, bowling, bingo and shows.

We are going to be there the last week of September then going to Tahiti Resort for the second week.

They, too, have a shuttle.

Have fun whatever you decide.
