and don't mind staying 30 minutes for the Strip. Here's my review for the excellent Aliante.

There is no resort fee and the internet is a very reasonable $5.99 a day. The local newspaper and the gym are free.

"and don't mind staying 30 minutes for the Strip"

That right there is a total deal breaker for most people.

You might as well say you're vacationing in Vegas with a beachfront room facing the Pacific Ocean.

If you don't have much interest in the Strip, I guess this place would be OK. But I wouldn't recommend it for someone who primarily would want to visit the strip every day.

Wow. That sounds a bit harsh.

I think if someone wants to link to a hotel review of an empty casino property in the middle of nowhere where they had to wear earplugs to sleep and felt ignored by the front desk staff and couldn't find anywhere to have breakfast but somehow still gave the place 4 stars out of 5...well, I think that's just fine.
