What's new in Vegas?

Heading to Vegas on Sept 1st. This will be 14th trip. What is new in the last year? How about off the beaten path that we may have missed. Love to walk the strip and take in everything. Always fun to find a cheap meal or happy hour.

Thanks for the tips, cannot wait!

Construction between NYNY & Monte Carlo, the Linq project including the loss of O'Shea's and the gut rehab of Bill's into Gansevoort Las Vegas. Hakkasan, the new ultra club at MGM Grand, revival of construction at the Echelon site (mostly clean up and inspections right now), slow work on the old Sahara as it morphs into SLS.

Lots of restaurant replacements everywhere including 3 Gordon Ramsay places in CET resorts, Nobu, a new Morimoto outpost (not yet open) Tom Colicchio's Heritage Steak in Mirage...

acrv, We kinda steer away from the buffets. Have done the Spice Market Buffet at Planet Hollywood and Carnival World Buffet at Rio and enjoyed both. I would open this question up to the general forum and you will get much better answers. We also love PF CHangs at Planet Hollywood, there is a great Outback above Casino Royale. Quiet and has the best tap beer. Kahunaville at Treasure Island has been hit and miss as far as food but is a fun atmosphere. TI also has a Senor Frog's. If you like Cheesecake factory Caesar's Palace has one. At one time the Hard Rock had a 777 special. Steak, potato and veggie for $7.77. We ate last year at Carlos and Charlie's in the Flamingo, had great food. Are you looking for "chain type restaurants" or more specialty, Vegas has an abundance of both. As you can tell we gravitate towards the chains. Many better options as far as food quality and dining experience, we tend to shoot for fun places to eat!

We arrive late Sunday night. Our plans are to head to Carnival Court grab a quick snack at the little food truck and listen to whatever band is playing. Harrah's has dueling pianos right inside the door by Carnival Court. Fun time.

Check out the new Pylon sign in front of Aria. Can't miss it!

There is a new blackjack game called Free Bet Blackjack that is slowly but surely spreading throughout the area. It is currently at Golden Nugget, Casino Royale, Mirage, NYNY, and Aria. Luxor, Venetian, and Palazzo should be getting it soon.
