We are coming back to Vegas in exactly 4 weeks today and can't wait. We are hoping to cram lots into our 4 day trip.
We have booked the Pink Jeep Hoover Dam upgrade tour for the morning after we arrive.
We have booked restaurants for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights but have left our arrival day unbooked in case of flight delays etc. We can easily grab a bite to eat at our hotel, The Aria, or order room service. Meals booked are for Bally's Steakhouse, Gordon Ramsey Pub and Grill and Top of the World. We don't eat lunch in Vegas, we tend to have a buffet breakfast and then not eat until the evening.
My main question is re: Fremont Street. I really wanted to go there for a couple of hours one evening on our last visit but we ran out of time. Therefore, this year I am determined to go. I am a bit concerned though that the Life is Beautiful concert is there on the Saturday and Sunday nights and was wondering if the whole area will be closed to all but ticket holders? Would it be better to go on the Friday evening instead? I would LOVE tickets for the event but at $160 a ticket, I need to be extra nice to hubby over the next few weeks ;-)
There are also loads of hotels we didn't get a chance to wander through last year, including MGM, Planet Hollywood, Bellagio and Wynn. Any others we should see? We went in Luxor, MB, TheHotel, Excalibur, Caesar's and Venetian. We also went in Bill's but have heard it's now closed. Is the new Quad worth a wander through?
Lastly, for now, is getting a taxi from the airport stressful or is it fairly straightforward? We had a limo last time so didn't experience it. Is the route you ask for (to the Aria) Swenson onto Harmon (that's how it looks to me on the map) and no tunnel?
Thanks and sorry if these are previously asked questions and if it's a bit long winded.
