What to do to pass the time on long hall flight?

Flying doesn't scare me, I'm like a kid I get all excited at the airport and getting on the plane, and take off, n then your in the air... For 11 hours, and I'm BOARD! So I'm asking please for all your tips on passing the time. Sadly sleeping isn't an option cos I just can't sleep while I travel for some reason!

1. If your carrier doesn't have tv's with satellite in every seat back, then load your iPad with as many hours of TVs and movies as it will hold.

2. Nap even though you can't sleep you should still be able to rest

There are drugs that will help you sleep. Ambien, melatonin, xanax for a few. Drinking's another choice. Reading. Music.

I strongly recommend noise cancelling headphones. I'm not sure why, but these leave me feeling much better after a long haul flight.

Download a couple Vegas movies to your ipad. Grab some Vegas magazines online and read while on the flight. Download some Vegas songs (like Casino, GoodFellas Soundtrack).

I understand the OPs inability to sleep. I'm always so jealous of those snoozing around me. I try to watch a movie or better yet tv if they have the seat back screens. I also listen to my iPod. I always pack a book, but can never seem to concentrate enough to read it.

I can't sleep on planes, not really. Not even in business class/lie flat seat beds.

But I do watch lots of movies, and read books and close my eyes for a while.

I highly recommend Xanax. Half a pill before the flight and half at the mid point really helps me relax, sleep and pass the time. Add in a glass of wine and some music, and its almost pleasurable.
