mandalay bay resort credit

Hello

I booked a room in The Mandalay bay for Nov as the hotel website said that we will be eligible for a $100 resort credit. However the email that we got to confirm our booking makes no mention of this offer. Now I am worried as there is no proof of this offer and they might refuse to give us this offer when we check in. I sent them an email but there is no reply yet. Should I cancel the booking as the only reason I booked with this resort was for the credit.

Thanks

I would give them a call. Vegas hotels can sometimes not be the best when it comes to responding to email. Use Skype or similar if the cost of international calls is an issue.

For what it's worth, I would never base my decision on where to stay at any destination on the inclusion of $100 resort credit. I choose the property where I want to stay first and if there's any kind of deal on top of that, better still. But that's just a personal opinion! I'm not disputing that you're entitled to clarification on this as a matter of principle regardless of the circumstances.

I ran in to the same issue last year with the Mirage, I called the hotel and they confirmed the credit over the phone. I still did not have any proof in writing when I checked in but the credit was listed on my reservation as I was told over the phone so no problem.

As blagger mentioned above I wouldn't count on recieving a timely email response from the hotel, probably best to call. I wouldn't cancel the reservation without talking to someone first. MB is a nice hotel choice.

Hi

Thanks for your reply. .thanks for your reply.. $100 is certainly not a small amount and would easily cover our meals for a day...I will try to call them ...has anyone else faced similar issues???

Print a copy of the offer and bring it with you. In life sometimes things do happen, and I'm sure you realize that the hotel/casinos have many different offers and promos running at the same time.

Remember if you want to call and you made your reservation through Mlife, you will have to call them not the hotel itself.

If it makes you feel better, hotel confirmations often don't list the additions such as resort credits or free play.

I booked MB as well and no mention of the promo in confirmation email. I fully expect offer to be honored and not going to worry about it.
