Cheap drinks @ sportsbooks

Looking for a sportsbook where I can get some beers for cheap (I know the day of free drinks is gone). I am going in 17 days and will be staying at Harrah's, but I'm also thinking about spending NFL Sunday downtown too. Any suggestions?

You can still get "free" drinks, if you're gambling, like at any video machine sportsbook bar; or placing a sports bet, then asking the clerk for drink tickets. I have often just sat there and been offered drinks.

Tipping accordingly will help keep the drinks coming. Stick to the lower-profile sportsbooks. Start with Harrah's; join their slot club. I don't know of a good book downtown. Maybe the Golden Nugget.

I got free drinks at the Flamingo sports book in March while watching the Winnipeg Jets play hockey. I was not betting, but I did tip the CW when she brought my drinks. Much cheaper than going to a sports bar to watch the games plus the chairs were comfortable.

Every sportsbook is slightly different, and many are now out-sourced, so they're less apt to give free drinks. Most casino bars, where you could buy drinks, aren't going to be "cheap."

For your NFL Sunday, consider the LVH. 1,500 seat, smoke-free theater with all the games on massive HD screens across the front stage. They have $2 and other cheap food, giveaways, and a lot of fun.

Otherwise, go somewhere near Casino Royale and grab a few $1 Michelobs and bring them in, which is perfectly legal in a sportsbook.

Buy you beer elsewhere. Bring it in with you.

Thanks, I only got free drinks once, and another time received vouchers. Every other time, I struck out. Any other advice, I think I read somewhere about either El Cortez or Plaza having $1 buds?

El Cortez has $1 bud/bud light drafts in their sportsbook during NFL games.( memory going crazy now- they had beers and hot dogs, one for $1 the other for $2- it was the beer I paid the dollar for, not the dog- or was it? the whole thing was $3 total...)

They also have an off menu special in their Café Cortez all day of a 8 oz burger, chips and draft for $5.95- you have to ask for the Jackie Burger Special....I think you can sub fries for the chips for $1.50- .. hope I'm remembering ally prices correctly..

Back in Sept, the Elco special was burger+beer+fries for $5. Great deal, and you can watch a game on the TV they have in there.

There's a sports bar / pizza place just down the block from the Elco (towards the FSE) that had great games-day specials. But I forget the name.

One of my fall backs though not my first choice, is to go to PH's SB. There is an ABC store in the Miracle Mile store which is not far at all. You can go buy a couple beers and go back to the sportsbook.

How many drinks would you normally have over the course of a game ?

If the answer is 10 then ask yourself if you would fancy a $100 gambling budget ?

If the answer is yes, then head to the Mirage/Monte Carlo/Luxo sportsbook and place a $10 bet on a horse race and you get 1 free drink(Im sure others will be the same cost per voucher as well mind you). Do this 10 times and you get 10 free drinks.

If none of your horses win, your drink has just cost you $100 and that might be a bit of a bummer. However, iIf you get lucky then you walk away a winner plus get drunk for free.

Last trip my missus scored a 12/1 and a 10/1 doing this and i ended up $200+ up plus both of us had in the region of 15-20 drinks. :-)
