"The Big Game" 2014

Is Vegas fun on Super Bowl Sunday or is it too crowded. Also, where are the best private parties? Like which ones are super exclusive for celebs and real high rollers?

It's like asking if New Years Eve is fun or too crowded. It's crowded. That's what makes it fun for a lot of people. Others would just as soon stay away because they don't like visiting during busy events.

Private parties are, well...private.

The worst thing about "Big Game Weekend" is that table minimums have a habit of going through the roof.

This will be my 6th year going. I am not a high roller, but I like to roll like one. I usually find someone selling their VIP tickets, somewhere between 2-300 dollars for a private SB party. It is a very busy weekend and yes, table minimums are high at the usual strip hotels. Things get right back to normal Monday morning.

If you want to get in to one of the high roller parties, you either need to be be one, know someone, or keep an eye on Craigslist or Ebay. Be cautious though, there are fakes out there. I'd make sure you meet the person at the venue where they get their wristbands for entry. There have been less available each year on those forums and they sometimes don't show up until the last minute. 2 years ago, I didn't have a party to go to until Midnight saturday.

I've been to the Hilton party, Bellagio, and Cosmo the last 4 years. Last year at the Cosmo party, they had Curt Menefee, Rob Gronkowski, Matt Stafford and Cam Newton doing pregame and halftime analysis with picture opportunities. When I went to the Bellagio party a few years back, I saw Pete Rose, a few Poker Pros and some of the LA Dodgers.

If you are looking for a regular party, Blondies is almost sold out. I hear that's a good place to watch, but not high roller.

I have heard that all the casino parties for the high rollers are invite only and ID required, does that mean you are able to find people on Craigslist/Ebay who will walk you in as their "guest" for some cash? I will be getting in town a few hours pregame but am afraid to not book a regular party ticket in advance if a lot of your type of opportunites aren't usually found

Blondes, Lagasses, sporting house will set you back min $500 for the day. Those are the big places. The sports books will be crazy from sat night thru Sunday night. Most of the seats at the sport books are reserved. MGM is standing room only.

Every tv in every casino will have the game on so there is million places you can watch. Casino bars, at the tables.

So yes vegas will be very crowded, but that makes it fun.

For the cosmo and bellagio parties, once you had the official wristband, you could walk in and out. Hilton party a few years ago, it was a casino comp ticket. I've always met w/ the person selling in advance and traded cash for bracelet/ticket. There are thousands of people in these ballrooms, they don't have time to check the name of each person.

You get to sit at the table lol. Its just a dope place to watch all sports. I'm not a big fan of the private parties anymore. I like being around a big group of real fans, and the 200 dollar price tag eliminates that. I prefer the lvh party, not because its free but because its packed with 1) hardcore fans 2) people who bet on all the props. Every other play the place erupts. They always have cheap food and booze, and bet stations inside the place you're watching.
