It all depends on what you're looking for in a hotel.....pool, casino, restaurants, nightlife, location, fancy room, or just a cheap place to lay your head for a few hours.

Mirage is good. Treasure Island is nice as well. If budget allows consider Wynn or Bellagio.

Do you weant to move down (something cheaper) from Palazzo or stick to hotels at that level? Mirage is certainly a step down, although we really like their Tower Suites.

Exact dates and appx budget will get you replies that will be more accurate for this trip.

Thanks or all your responses...

Basically we are travelling to Vegas for 4 nights before going on to Orlando, we want to stay the same end as the palazzo but ideally a little cheaper. So this is why we thought mirage might be a good hotel. We like nice bedrooms and bathrooms but don't have to be as big as the palazzo rooms....

Thanks

The bathrooms in the standard rooms at the Mirage are very, very small. You might want to try searching Trump which is at that end.

Not comparable to Palazzo, but a great value in that area is Treasure Island. We prefer their rooms over the standard rooms at Mirage, because of the bathroom and the great view. It also has better gambling conditions than Mirage, which matters to us. The pool area isn't as nice as Mirage, but then again it isn't as crowded either.

For you (and us) TI has a great location, across from Palazzo, with easy access to Mirage, Wynn, and the Fashion Show Mall.

I second TI. They're also very generous with comps, coupons and deals. I've stayed there the last three times I've been to Vegas, all for free, and I'm by NO MEANS a high roller.

EDIT: FYI, the rooms were recently re-done, and are very nice for the price. It's a good place to stay!

Mirage. Stayed there in September. Very nice mid priced property with a great pool and good dining options. Standard rooms have a small bathroom but still okay. If you want a bigger bathroom book the tower suite at mirage it has bigger bathroom.

Never stayed at ti but I hate the casino part. Seems dark and dreary and not as nice as mirage. To me it seems a step down from mirage whereas palazzo would be a step up from mirage.

Given your comments, I concur either TI or Mirage would be suitable, albeit a step down from Palazzo.

Also, provided you are agreeable with the location, it would be worth pricing the Trump as a comparison.

Finally, I would suggest you see how much more Palazzo would cost... If it isn't too much, then I would recommend you consider a return visit- it is a nice hotel, in a good area.
