What is your Best Vegas Deal, and how'd you find it?

This is meant to be a very broad topic. Best deal could mean just about anything, price, location, service, surprises...anything.

And it's not limited to hotels. In fact it's not limited to anything. Spas, Shows, Clubs, Hotels, Flights, Activities, Car Rentals, Golf, anything.

I'll start off with something pretty basic.

Free Breakfast at Hash House on my Birthday.

Got the Delta pricing error for our next trip in two weeks.

Two flights, round trip from Green Bay for $61 per person. Also have a comped room for 5 nights and F&B credit. It's going to be a good trip!!

Through the years I've had some incredible hotel deals. We've stayed at both Four Seasons and Mandarin Oriental for $150 per night. The Skylofts for $550 per night---and yes that is an incredible deal. This year we stayed in a 1BR Strip Viuew Auite at Four Seasons for $213 per night.

We went to the Academy of Country Music Awards, the new artist concert, and the taping of a CW concert . All 3 shows cost $150 or $200.

The AARP convention in Las \Vegas cost $25.

One that people can still take advantage of in the future: The Wheel of Fortune tapings at Venetian are FREE.

OK I'll bite.

Heading to Vegas in February for my husband's 50th! His first time there my 4th.

Which Hash House location did you visit on your birthday? Did you know/ sign up ahead of time for the free breakfast?

Best deal this trip so far: Since we arrive late on a Thursday night, I booked Silver Seven because they offer a free airport shuttle to and from and free breakfast. Total for one night with taxes and fees in Canadian $34.15! Resort fee $3.00

Back to the airport on Friday to pick up a rental car. For some" only in Vegas" reason rental car are much cheaper if you start rental on a Friday instead of a Thursday. Weekend rate I guess. We won't need the car until Friday anyway.

WHICH BRINGS ME TO MY QUESTIONS:

1) Anyone reading have a discount code for a rental car at one of the reputable companies valid Friday 2/7-Tuesday 2/11 that will bring my total with all taxes and fees to less then $95.00 ? So far that's the best I can find. I have done much better in past visits. Even priceline NYOP won't budge at less then that.

2) Want to stay downtown on Friday night for sure and possibly Sat night too. Want to stay on the cheap. Best deal I can find is $50. at The Cal which includes $10. food voucher I have lost my B connected card and the number so can't book using that until I get there. I do not want to stay in a noisy dump and will not stay in El Cortez Pavilion or Vintage rooms.

Yes I am frugal, because I like to travel a lot I spend less on accommodations and rental cars so I can visit more places. I have been to all 50 states and 25 countries so far and I am FAR from wealthy!

WoW ilovevegas1119,

We are also flying to Vegas on Delta, sorry I missed the "pricing error". I can't touch the deals you got. How did you get comped room with F&B credit?

For a number of years Qua offered a $99 Massage Special that was VERY POPULAR on this board. Considering that it cost $45 just to walk in the door and use the facilities that was an amazing bargain.

funmomwithteens - the free rooms/food/beverage comes from gambling on previous trips. Everyone who goes to Vegas should get a players card for the properties they gamble at. That makes them eligible to receive offers for future trips. Make sure you use the players card when gambling and show it when shopping/eating at the property, as you will gain points that way too.

The more you spend, the more offers you get.

I wouldn't consider us to be high-rollers by any means. We usually spend about $1000 per trip on gambling, so factoring in the free hotel rooms and F&B credit, we pretty much break even on the deal.

Thanks for answering ilovevegas1119

No chance I will get that kind of comp since I probably won't gamble more then $100.00 but I will apply for and use players cards. Giving me a comp'd room would not be a financially sound decision for a casino.

funmomwithteens - get an ID card at Cosmo and gamble. I played for less than 1 hour on slots and got a 2 night free room offer!

My best offer was from Sahara for Canadians only. Three comped nights plus limo pick up and drop off at the airport. I felt a VIP that trip!

Another really good offer was when I first got my Hard Rock card. They gave me free slot play, I won a CD and earned $100 credit to any restaurant.

Bellagio Penthouse Suite for $129 (on a weekend night). Only one night at that rate, but it fit into our schedule so we booked it and completely enjoyed one night of luxury. We were already at Bellagio in a regular room, we moved upstairs for our last night. :-) Found the deal here on Tripadvisor one day. Someone posted a glitch that was showing up on Kayak, and I booked it before the mistake was discovered and removed. It pays to read Tripadvisor, at times.

My thrifty traveler recommendations for Vegas deals…

Use the Hotel Tonight app for same day hotel bookings. After you download the app, enter promo code 'SREILLY27' for a $25 credit. Two weeks ago, I used my credit for a free room at Tuscany Suites. (Resort fee not included)

Check Goldstar for discounted show tickets. I've seen comedy, hypnosis, murder mysteries, dinner theater and many other things for free through Goldstar. Marc Savard Comedy Hypnosis was easily the funniest show I've seen in Vegas. There is a service fee on each ticket.

Check CraigsList for last minute show tickets. I've seen Ka, O and Zumanity for $40-60 each and was in the first row for each one. I also went to the last day of Electric Daisy Carnival and only paid $60, including a shuttle pass.
