Las Vegas Club Casino Hotel

Can someone please explain to me where the Vegas Club Hotel Casino is exactly, I know where the Plaza is, is it right in that area? I am not good with north/south directions, I need landmarks to go by. I have been recommended this place as a possibility to stay at and looked at reviews on the Yahoo travel site and they were all very good except one, with most being returning customers which tells me that they must have good service and clean rooms or people wouldn't keep coming back. Was told to ask for a north tower room if e stay there. Has anyone stayed there? No "bottom feeding" comments needed please.

Yeah, Vegas Club is right there at that end of Fremont Street. In fact it's on the corner of Fremont and Main.

Waht are you talking about?

Anyway, Las Vegas Club is right across Main Street from the Plaza and across Fremont Street from Golden Gate.

Standing in front of the Plaza looking down the FSE it is across Main Street on your left.. FYI - There is a second little known area in the back with, legend has it, some full pay Video Poker Machines.

Stayed there a couple of years ago, for a meeting, in a North Tower room. I had read a lot of bad reviews and was prepared for the worst but the room was definetly ok. It was decent sized and clean.

I have since been through there a couple of times on other trips. To my taste, the casino (which wasn't very nice to start with) has deteriorated. The customers do not look to be even middle-of-the-road, and I do not think I will be walking through there again. IMHO, there are better choices DT.

I had fun playing craps there, the dealers were real nice. Even though I was pestered by a drunken bum playing alongside me. He did give me a dollar after he won some money off my shooting though, so it worked out ok. The whole place seemed a little run down, but if people who have stayed there have positive things to say, maybe the rooms have been kept up better than the casino area.

Vegas Club used to be our "home" casino, when they had the MVP promotion going. They have changed owners about three times in the last two years and the quality has gottren progressively worse. We were there in Feb 06 in a comped room, North Tower and the place was so depressing we had to check out after one night.

That said, we love the staff, love Great Moments restaurant, but it is very obvious the staff are very confused and anxious with all the changes.

There are so many other good downtown hotels that don't cost an arm and a leg, that the Vegas Club no longer holds any attraction for us.
