What's the smallest and largest bankroll you've ever brought

Hi, I have been on both ends of the spectrum on bankrolls. In 1994 (I was 23) I went with some friends and took about $250 for a 3 night stay. Needless to say after losimg most of my money our last dinner that 3rd night was at McDonald's at the Fitz (now the D) downtown and I came home with $11 in my pocket. On the other hand, about 3 years ago I did a bachelor party trip for my current bro in law and brought $15k plus I have a $10k marker at Bellagio.

I'd love to answer the largest but I'm not comfortable posting that.

Smallest bankroll was $30 when I was 19 to an NA casino. Put it in a nickel Cleopatra got down to $5 pressed max bet and bam $1280 win..

I am going in April with $750 for 3.5 days. That is however not including the three free shows (cirque, jabbawockeez and cirque), the hotel which is already paid, or a free dinner I've got a voucher for. I also have two more myvegas redemptions I can claim as well as a free buffet of buffet pass to cover four meals. So I think it's quite doable!

The smallest I ever brought was the very fist time I went. We went on short notice to get married and didn't have the finances we do now. We went for 4 days and had $100 CDN each per day for everything - food, gambling, etc. The dollar was awful back then, so that translated to less than $75 USD per day each. As it was our first trip we spent a lot of time doing the free sightseeing and somehow managed to gamble a bit and not starve.

Thankfully my finances are better these days, but I'm still to frugal by nature to live real large even if I have the $$. I do take more than $75 per day though.

Im not a huge gambler despite my numerous visits. Smallest bank roll was my first visit in 2006 which was $50 a night gambling budget for 7 days. Won over $2500 within the space of 12 hours on Let it Ride and a slot machine.

Largest bankroll was $500 a day gambling budget for a weeks break. Within 12 hours of arrival i was $1200 up and by the end of the trip i broke even on my gambling meaning i brought home $2000 having not used a single dime on my credit card that trip.

My fiancé reads this board so I probably shouldn't say what my largest bankroll was lol, but it was enough to do some damage and let the casinos know I was there.. Smallest bankroll was in 1995 when I only had $500 for a whole week. Stayed at the Riviera in a suite ( charmed the lady at the desk for a free upgrade). Five dollar blackjack was plentiful in the area back then and Slots of Fun had table games for a buck or two. I still managed to have a lot of fun !

Largest was $2,000 for a 3 night stay when I was serious about blackjack.

Smallest was $100 for a 4 night stay when I was 21 years old.

Smallest bankroll was for my first trip in 1991. My then girlfriend (and now wife) and I stayed 2 nights in Vegas as part of a month long touring holiday after university.

We picked up vouchers at the Death Valley visitor centre for an offstrip casino (would love to be able to remember the name) that gave us a room plus a steak dinner each for the princely sum of $9.99. The room was great, the steak less so!

We had a daily budget of $50 each, explored the Strip and Downtown, played cheap slots for ages and enjoyed plenty of free drinks. Our highlight was the buffet at the newly built Excalibur which in our eyes was beyond sumptious (we were students after all!).

My budget now is more for a week than that whole month cost for the two of us, but the great thing about Vegas is that there is fun to be had on pretty much any size of bankroll.

What is ironic is that I typically do worse with larger bankrolls.

I think it is because I have all this money I'm ready to throw away. So I just sort of do what ever with it.

When I have a smaller bankroll I'm typically very conservative and less inclined to risk my winnings. I'll only play games I've had decent track records on and tend to avoid extremely high volatility games.

One thing I've learned in casinos.. Your only goal should be to make your bankroll survive.

Smallest?

First trip in 1981 - $350.00, wich included $$$ for my girlfriend to gamble with as well. Did pretty well, too. Lots of $1.00 craps all over town and 25-cent and 50-cent tables downtown.

Largest?

2002 - Around $9,000.00, which included a $5,000.00 WSOP tounament buy-in, fulfilling a dream of mine for years. (Hey! I wasn't the FIRST player to bust out!!) Now I play sattelite tourneys for my entries. Live and learn.
