excalibur is a kiddy haven. It's all relative whether or not it's worth it, but i think you should be able to get something a whole lot better for around nthe same price or slightly more. The location is alright, not really known for their dining options and the buffet is one of the least well rated on the strip, but atleast it's cheap. I think you could do much better if you were to look at say the flamingo, bally's, harrah's luxor, monte carlo, mgm, nyny, TI. all of these options should be only slightly more than excalibur and much nicer options. If pools are important it's also not very good on that account. You could do much better pool wise across the street at the tropicana for the same or less money.

Here is a link to pictures of the room.......if you noticed, some of the rooms do not have bath tubs, only a shower.

Tear it down and eliminate the kiddie havens in vegas. Vegas is for the adults, leave the circus at home!!!

I've stayed there twice with my husband (we got married at the hotel ) and my parents. We're all used to going from 5 star hotels to chain motels .

The Excalibur is a theme hotel as you know, the rooms are clean, themed and big . I payed 60$ a night mid week. in the low season (end of August) I'd definitely go back this year but my husband wants to try something different because we've been there twice in a row so we're going to TI instead.

It's not the Bellagio but I think it has more character if you know what I mean.

The buffet is ok and cheap. We ate breakfast there and lunch. enjoy it!

Have stayed at Excalibur twice before we moved here. The rooms are standard, clean, and decent. You would have to determine how much time you plan to stay in the room. We were sightseeing and out that we just used the room to sleep, relax in. The pool is great! The buffet is not great - would opt for Mandalay Bay. Excalibur is a great location as New York New York, MGM Grand, Tropicana are all across the street with Luxor and Mandalay Bay just next to Excalibur. Have you called the hotel directly? You may be able to ask for a deal depending on when you are staying, how long, etc. I did the second time we stayed and they accommodated me. Worth asking.

The Ex is tacky, depressing, and has a funny odor.

Kids with their mullet-haired parents are everywhere. The buffet is notorious

The location is great, right next to some nice places...one of those is Luxor..also Monte Carlo and MGM...step up to one of those, it is worth the extra 40 or 50

We have always loved the Excalibur! I think $71 is a great price, especially if it's for the weekend and when you consider how outrageous the rates are for some of the other Strip casinos are during the weekend. As others have said, the rooms are nice and we've never had a problem with them.

There ARE a lot of kids and families that stay there. They do have quite a few dining options, but nothing really spectacular or fancy schmancy. They do have a Krispy Kreme Donuts and a McDonalds.

I stayed there 2 months ago for the second time, and was very pleased. The room was very clean, no funny odors, and for the price we got ($39/night) it can't be beat.

If you are looking for a no frills place to stay, I highly recommend it. We did not run into kids, the food court is good, and I think it's located in a great area.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
