Things to do at the strip

Hi all, we don't gamble but we love looking at those casinos and take photos of them. But what are other things to do there besides gambling on the strip? Are there any neat things in the hotel to check out? Going to show might be an option, but they are expensive.

Which casino has the most affordable buffet?

You do NOT want the cheapest buffet! You want the best intersection of price and quality which IMO is the Spice Market at Planet Hollywood. Print the coupon from DestinationCoupons.com

Walk. There's great scenery up and down the strip. You can even take the bus downtown to Fremont street for a day or a half-day.

Collect porn slapper cards.

Get your picture taken with costume critters.

Take in a time share presentation.

Watch the panhandlers fight to the death for begging territory.

Buy a mix CD from the CD scammers.

Walk up and down stairs because the escalators are broken.

Puddle jump the vomit after the clubs close.

I occasionally gamble but become bored with losing :). For me, it's about the luxury, clubs and comfort.

The strip has everything, but is overwhelming. Its hard to say what to "do".

I'm not much of a gambler either... Occasional slots but that doesn't last long... I seem to have an issue on putting my money in a machine for nothing . But that's off topic. Sooo IMO I think there's soooo much to see and do other than spend hours gambling. Like the wildlife exhibit at the flamingo... Or the art work at beliago. People watching is always a good one too.

Most hotel will have a lounge at night with a live bad, free to sit, dance and listen. Some might have a drink minimum. NYNY has a dueling piano bar that is really fun to watch and very entertaining. The fountains at Bellagio, the shops at Cesars are great. I don't really walk the strip, too hot, it seems about 100 miles long..Shows can be very cheap. The Tickets for tonight booths sell discount tickets for shows that night that do not sell out, they even sell buffets. Groupon has a great deal right now for dinner buffet for 2 for under $50.00

There are plenty of non-gambling things to do on strip (outside of the many, many shows)...at Mandalay Bay visit Shark Reef and Minus 5 Ice Lounge, Luxor there is Bodies and/or Titanic exhibition, the Roller Coaster at NYNY, Blue Man Group (and another Minus 5 Ice Lounge if you don't make it at MB) at Monte Carlo (I've seen this twice, old and new, highly recommend), Planet Hollywood has the Mircle Mile Shops, Paris take the eiffel tower up to view the strip (day or night, gives different views), Cosmo have a drink at the Chandellier Bar on each level ;-), Bellagio, watch the fountain show...day and night, Flamingo check out the habitat out back, the High Roller at Linq, Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, gandola ride at Venitian, observation tower at Stratosphere...the list goes on and on.
