We bought a pack of beer for our room when we stayed at HRH last October. I don't know how they could possibly know whether you had alcohol in your room or not anyway.

Just about any hotel in the world will officially not you permit you to take your own food and beverages into your room.

Of course in reality, this isn't going to happen. Unless you're wheeling several kegs of beer into the elevators, nobody will care. If they strictly policed guests drinking their own booze at HR at weekends, the hotel rooms would be close to deserted.

Have stayed at the Hard Rock on 4 separate occasions and never had any problems bringing our own drinks in, this has included crates of beers and bottles of spirits. Like other people have said as long as it doesn't look like you're trying to open a bar in your room they aren't going to care.

In most states, the laws or rules are you cannot bring outside liquor into a place that serves liquor. Thus, that's why you may have heard that outside beer/liquor isn't permitted in Hard Rock (or any hotel for that matter).

But....the rule is extremely overlooked by everyone. Like the others said, as long as you are not operating a full service cash bar from your room, no one is going to care.
