Depends what you are into. I went solo last December for the first time. I'm into football, so I parked myself in a sports book and drank beer. Talk about a great day, people were friendly and outgoing. If you aren't much of a gambler, things like the mob museum downtown, or bodies exhibition might be good to do solo. Basically, whatever you are into can be done comfortably in Vegas.

I'll be there on the 11th, I'm probably going to do my share of casino hopping and gamblin'.

1. Is this your first visit?

2. There are approximately 40 million visitors to Las Vegas annually, including many single persons, such as convention delegates. Many attractions are suitable for the solo visitor

3. Remember, it's hot in June

4. Take comfortable shoes for walking!

Bon voyage!

I've gone on several solo trips, and I mainly play blackjack the entire time. I save the shows and other stuff for trips with my wife.

Went solo last year and honestly, there wasn't a place from Carnegie Deli to Andre's and from the El Cortez to Aria that I didn't feel comfortable at. Going solo to me is a just a way of doing whatever I want, when I want without other people pulling me into what they want to do. It's a nice break from the norm.

Look at the forum and do some other research and if it appeals to you, do it.

Best thing to do... buy a travel guide and see what you like the look of. Ive been on my own a few times and the only thing I don't do is go to clubs. There are Many fine shows and exhibitions that you can visit... bodies at luxor for example or the Mob museam at the tropicana are just a couple!

Hey folks, thanks for this. I am pretty much going to be pool side most of the time, and Ive been to vegas 4/5 times with work and friends so I'm not looking for the club scene.

I love vegas!

Hi Miriam, I went to Vegas solo twice this year. I did everything I wanted, including eating at a steakhouse, drinking at Carnival Court, going to the pool and gambling solo. You might want to check out the LInq and the High Roller. The view is quite nice and you are in the pod with a bunch of other people, so very easily something not to be afraid of doing alone. I know a lot of people dine at the bar when they travel solo. I did this too, there is usually someone chatty beside you and if not the bartenders are normally very friendly. Another thought is hitting up the spa at your hotel for some relaxation time.

Have a great time!
