Las Vegas Hotels

Hey all,

hoping I will get a legit answer to this question. Am interested in going to Las Vegas November 2nd to the 14th... but the hotels are triple what they were when we went in Jan?? Any idea why? I checked the conventions and unless I'm missing something, there doesn't seem to be anything huge going on around that time. Anyone know anything?

The Rock N Roll marathon maybe? It's 11/14. Not sure about the rest of your dates.

ETA: SEMA and NHRA that week also.

Well just off the top of my head...Veteran's Day is November 11th (I believe). Many people will be off work that day which makes it a long weekend.

The Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week is November 4-7 with 140,000 attendees with several thousand others listed that I see on the Convention Calendar which would be quite a few during that timeframe (in my opinion)

Seems udderly ridiculous they'd increase prices of hotels 3x's the normal, even after automotoive show is over. Looking at the whole month october and november, and they are ridiculous

I also have found that prices have gone up on hotel rooms starting the 2nd week of Sept and continues thru Oct, Nov, and Dec. The room we usually upgrade to has gone up $110.00. So I looked at prices at other hotels and they too have raised their prices.

I figured my hotel of choice raised their prices because of remodeling the casino and union contracts that they just signed. The Culinary Union just negotiated with a lot of the hotels in Vegas so maybe that is why there is a $20 -110 increase?????? We get to pay for their wage increase. I have no clue to the increase.

Have you though of downtown Vegas. We stay downtown half of our vacation every year. Every things close together & many dinning options. You can get a bus pass & go to the strip 24/7. The four queens doesn't have a resort fee. A solid 3 star, maybe 3 1/2 star if you include their service. Never had anything but good to excellent service, stayed many times.

I think only cows can be "udderly ridiculous," not hotels... ;-)
