I'm not sure which forum is the best one to put this question in, so apologies if this isn't the best one, but here goes.
My boyfriend and I are doing a road trip in late september, flying into LV for 3 nights before hiring a car and driving to the Grand Canyon (South Rim). We'll stay at GCNP for a night and then be heading back to Vegas where we will stay for a night before heading off toward Death Valley (staying at Lone Pine) and then onwards to Yosemite Valley.
I'm just wondering whether someone could suggest a good place for us to stop for the night when we arive back in Vegas after GCNP? We probably won't arrive back until early evening and I'm thinking it's probably not worth driving into the centre of LV as we'll have already been there 3 nights. We aren't in need of casinos etc, just a nice area, reasonable hotel etc. Doesn't even need to be in LV if someone can suggest a good stop point which will put us in a good place to head to DVNP in the morning.
On the other hand, if you think there are good reasons to head back into the city, we could obviously consider that too.
Any thoughts appreciated,
