It's just a place to crash. Terrible blackjack rules and a depressing casino are what I like about it least. It's cheap and most people stay there for free is what I like about it most. Have fun!

great location, location, location. needs a little updating which i am sure they will do in next years to come. Rooms are just rooms but always been very clean and fine when I stayed. Also service was usually always decent or better. Next to many other casinos and attractions. I would not hesitate to stay there at all. Remember if there is a problem complain. I think you will be just fine, make sure you get a players card and at end of stay if you played asked for things to be comped

Rooms are basic, but clean. Strip view....??? Really?? I didn't think there were any rooms that had a good view of the strip so don't hold your breath.

We've stayed there a number of times We don't mind the casino. Can't beat it for location. Have had decent CW service. We will probably stay there again in the future.

We had an excellent view of the Mirage volcano so obviously you don't know what you're talking about.

I have stayed at Harrahs a number of times over the years. I have also had the Volcano view a few times and I agree with Kay B that there are no rooms with a good strip view. Certainly no view worth paying for.

Harrahs casino is probably my favorite on the strip but I play LIR almost exclusively so I'm not affected by the poor BJ rules like many of the people here.

All in all it is a great value if your goal is to have a place to sleep and shower.

I really didn't like it there. Felt very claustrophic in the casino, rooms were tattered, food was crummy and so was drink service. But it is a good location and it's generally cheap relative to that location, so if you're there to party all night, and maybe take a shower and change in your room, it should serve you fine. I did think the people who worked the front desk and the casino were pretty nice.

Thought the room was pretty decent, in good shape. Really didn't have much of a view, but no big deal. Location is great and strip access is pretty good. Well, that's the good. The Bad: The casino is like gambling in a smoky tomb, dark, poor ventilation and low ceilings. Food choices are very limited, though the buffet is okay. The pool is the worst thing, however. Harrah's was originally a Holiday Inn, built in the sixties or early seventies and that's the pool. A cement rectangle, little landscaping. The long sides of the rectangle is surrounded by day beds and cabanas available for a fee. The short ends have filthy, white plastic loungers that are free. We actually passed on 2 comped rooms in September. Just couldn't take it, the pool is important.

We stayed there many times. It was our first "home" in Vegas, and the rooms are fine, just very basic. If all you need is a bed and shower, it will do.

We liked that it wasn't a long trek to the strip and the Mirage was just across the street. Also, Carnival Court is a fun place to hang out and they have Big Elvis in the bar in the afternoon.

As for a "strip" view, we had one a few times and it's really nothing to write home about. We could see the volcano at Mirage but that was about it. I wouldn't pay extra for it, just ask for a high floor, odd-numbered room. Also, tell check-in you don't want to be close to Carnival Court. It gets real loud at night.

I've stayed there several times in recent years. Will be there again in August. The rooms are decent and comfortable. It's on a monorail stop, if that is of any use to you. I like that when you walk out the casino door, you are on the strip sidewalk. Right across the street are The Mirage and the entrance to to Caesars Forum shops. The Venetian is an quick walk away as are several other hotel/casinos.

People usually caution that unless you stay out late anyway., you should ask for a room that is away from the sounds from Carnaval Court when you check in. It's a large, semi-outdoor bar where they play loud music until 2 or 3:00 a.m. and it can be heard from some rooms.
