First timer to Vegas, Poker Info

Hello,

I am heading to Vegas this October with my husband, and we love to play cards.. Texas Hold Em is our #1.

Do all the casinos have Poker rooms? And which are the best/your favorites and why?

We enjoy playing 1/2 and have ventured into 2/5, NL. We also like daily tournaments. We wouldn't mind playing an Omaha No Limit tournament (not to sure i am ready for the cash version just yet in that game.. lol)

Thanks!

http://www.pokeratlas.com/las-vegas-nevada is a good site with daily tournaments listed for the various Casinos. I like the Aria poker room for cash games and they have a daily $125 NL tournament at 1pm and 7pm. Bellagio and Wynn are two other poker rooms where I like to play cash games.

Pokeratlas. com will give you all the info you need. Omaha cash games aren't regular and seemed tight. You will have plenty of fun playing 1/2 in planet hollywood and mirage. I also like Venetians poker room. All the best

Biggest turnout for tournaments are at Aria and Venetian. If you intend to win the $125 at Aria, plan 7 hours of poker. For the $250 at Venetian, plan 9 hours. If you don't have that much time in your hands, Mirage has an OK blind structure and the trny wraps up within 5 hours usually.

You'll find a Omaha cash game at Venetian.

The most important thing to check is the blind structure. Anything under 20 min is not worth it as it turns into a bingo session. If that's your thing (i.e. if you like playing turbo or super turbo tournaments online), then Planet hollywood (as well as Flamingo, Harrah's, MGM Grand, Luxor) has a few $65 daily tournament with a fast blind structure.

I agree pacifi I played tournaments at Luxor , ph and Mandalay bay and all the blind structures made it so you had no choice but too push. Never played tournaments at Venetian but I like there cash. Never played in aria. I was disappointed with the action for omaha on the strip.

I have to second Aria as well. Great tournament structure. Good 1/2 cash games at Bellagio, Bally's, PH & Mirage as well.
